So the question is what pays off better ,playing top notch quality opponents or playing weaker teams and building confidence??? I will let you decide. This is same question that is asked every year and you can argue it either way. Last year Lumberton played a "weak" non-district schedule and went on to a co-district championship. Ozen always plays tough non-district games and has not made the play-offs since whenever. I see no real benefit from playing tough opponents other than bragging rights and confidence (assuming you win). I am not saying I don't encourage teams to play tough games, I am just saying I see no "real" advantage. Having said that, Nederland really needs to step up this week and show me something or it is a 4th place finish for me. I think it would look like this: 1.PN-G 2.Central 3.Lumberton 4.Livingston/Nederland/Ozen If Nederland plays well aginst Waller and Friendswood, I could move them all the way up to the top of my pre-district rankings.

I have been hearing that he has a case of the fumbles. I think this game could be close, but I think TC wins this one. Having said that though, "Thats why you play the game." Anything can happen.

I wouldnt count on that happening again. But PN-G did tell me that BH offense needs all the help it can get.

Well there are a few more tropical systems working. If he does the "hurricane dance" enough, maybe he can manage to cancel some tough district match ups. Yeah, I was just wondering if I needed to make other plans the friday night we are suppose to play them.

Nederland - WOS game.

Dayton even wore their real jerseys for the scrimmage. That just shows how serious they took it. They even had a pep rally before the game and a city parade afterwards.

What did Livingston do to you?

Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! agreed. I think its a legit question and it doesnt matter to me if the Nederland Bond passes or fails. They just wanted Port Neches to remodel their stadium first and then build their own better. I think it is a classic move myself. But lets be honest, 2015 is still 6 1/2 years away. That is a pretty long time and you will be able to say you have the nicer stadium until then. So, atta boy for you guys!!!

PNG fan? Hardly.....I am just an avid highschool football fan. Ok, sure... and that one game you go to just happens to be where PNG plays right? Well, I guess you will be doing alot of traveling this year, especially since you will not have a home field to play on this year. Oh, and there is nothing normal about a man wearing purple.

Just another PNG fan worried that Big NED is going to build a better stadium than them. If you ever want to see an Indian blow his tipi, just mention the Nederland Bond!!! They talk about it more than Nederland does. It will be ok... Mid-County will have two nice stadiums for both teams to play in. Now as far as WOS "theory" goes, it would not be the first time a team has pulled some sort of trick to get an advantage. Sort of how you guys wear purple to make everyone think you are a bunch of sissies.

As I recall, it went like this: Lumberton>Dayton, Dayton>PN-G, PN-G>Lumberton. I will go ahead and concede though, Dayton would beat Lumberton if they played at the end of the season... But Lumberton would have beat PN-G if they played at the end of the season also.
