  1. I know "its all about the U" would know...what about it U? I hope it is nothing major.
  2. Yeah, I have been to more Ned games this year than I have Lumberton. Mostly, because I live In Nederland Now(5 years)!! Did not make the Livingston game (out of town), but Central could not run between the tackles against Nederland. Besides one or two runs, most of their big gaines came from QB scrambles on 3rd and long. PNG could not run the ball at all and from what I have heard, the QB from Livingston did everything. From what I have seen, Nederlands' trouble is defending the pass. I dont think that is Vidors' or Lumbertons' strong point. Nor do I believe that Lumberton or Vidor has an athlete that can break Nederlands defense down like Central or Livingston.
  3. My prediction... Nederland wins out the rest of the season. Even against my boys on the L-Train. Nederlands has the most balanced offense in the district and the Defense will use the same blue-print they used for the PNG game. Hopefully, Vidor can throw the ball well. Vidor will be surprised they are not able to run the ball against Nederland. Teams that have had success running against Nederland, mostly have a fast QB that they could not contain. Nederland will bust the 40 point mark again in this one... Dawgs - 44 Vidor - 20 ( that maybe a little much)
  4. Lumberton, Livingston, and Central are 4-1 with Lumberton holding all tiebreakers over the Lions and the Jags.... Say it again...I love it when you talk Lumberton football to me...
  5. Hey Scalp, do you hope you're wrong on this one? ;D ??? ;D ??? Heck yea I hope I'm wrong, but gut feeling tells me otherwise. I'm a diehard NDN fan, but I don't wear the purple shaded glasses When Scalm em' starts predicting blow-outs... I get a little nervous. If I recall right, He also predicted PNG to beat Nederland 35-14 and we all know how that one turned out! I for one do not have a good feeling about this one. PNG has nothing to lose and can be a very dangerous team to play at any given time. Lumberton has never beat PNG and maybe thats why I am not as quick to say that L-Train will roll this one. As crazy as the district has been this year, anything can happen. I hope Lumberton is not bringing a knife to a gun fight, because PNG is going to be ready for war Friday night.
  6. Both teams come out and play "Hot Potato" with the football and neither team is prepared or coached properly for their team to win. Penalties take both teams out of scoring oppertunities and offensive drives stall. Should be a great game to go to and cannot wait to see all the highlights on the tailgate party. Final Score: 7-7. Of course I'm kidding. Good Luck to both teams as I also believe the loser of this game is out of the Play-offs.
  7. Oh no... here comes the other teams look good, but PNG did not posts... ;D
  8. Dont forget LCM ;D We lose to them and we do not deserve to go to the play-offs. They looked horrible tonight.
  9. I do not want to rain on our parade, but there have been too many fans predicting play-offs for our team after tonights big win. I cannot be more proud of Lumberton for tonight, but lets keep things in perspective. We have both Mid-County teams yet to play on the road and an Ozen team that beat Vidor, who beat us. I think we have one of the better teams in the district, but we need to stay focused each week and not look ahead. Thats all Im saying. Feel free to flame away!
  10. its a serious question ok, you are right. Im sorry. Sincerely.
  11. Let me get this straight, Saturday night (MCM), you guys did not throw enough and tonight you threw too much? Burnett having a tough time getting the right balance on play-calling?
  12. This coming from a guy that starts a thread about Lumberton fans.... yeah, real mature. ???
  13. Like you wouldnt have been the first one on here if Central wins the game. Please...
  14. That game really got ridiculous!!! We have not even mentioned the 75 yd Grogan Touchdown that was called back for holding. Me and the fans around me were like... this is bad. I really and truly felt sorry for LCM tonight. That was embarassing for them. I hope they get a win this year, just not against Lumberton!!
  15. Vidor was favored to go the play-offs??? When??? After they beat us? I feel flattered!!!!
  16. PNG and Central lost, who was the third?
  17. Nederland has a made a 180 degree turn from week 1, mostly due to Grogan and the balance attack of the run with the pass. Congats to the coaches for that move. Nederland took care of business tonight. They did what they were suppose to do, so it was good to not see them come out flat after an emotional win last week. If Nederland stays focused, I think Nederland wins this by 10 at least. I was really surprised that Lumberton was able to contain Centrals "Speed" and shutdown their offense like they did. Nederlands defense has played solid two weeks in a row. This will be a good test to see where they are really at this week.
  18. Nederland really got to you all this year!!!!
  19. We (officials) will be wearing red arm bands. The zebras?? LOL yes, the Zebras Teeboan, if you were one of the Refs lastnight you guys need to go back to Ref school. Esp. the back judge. I think this could also apply to blaming officials for the outcome of the game.
  20. I think Lumbertons excuses are new since we never have really been expected to Win before and PNG's is old because its always the officials and coaching. Which is better "New" or "Classic"?
  21. The late hit on the Fair catch, was intially called but was determined that the player was blocked into the receiver. Which he was, but I thought it was a good no call.
  22. I'm sorry No, I'm sorry...that was uncalled for the other night. I apologize to all the PNG fans for what happened out there Saturday night. Here we invited you into our house and just beat you like red-headed step children. I hope you all come back in a couple years!
  23. Please explain to me what you mean by Vidor "plays all their games at home" this year. Vidor Pirates Aug. 29 Beaumont Kelly Sept. 5 Houston St. Thomas Sept. 12 @ Hardin-Jefferson Sept. 19 OPEN Sept. 26 @ Beaumont Central* Oct. 3 Lumberton* Oct. 10 @ Beaumont Ozen* (Babe Zaharias Stadium) Oct. 17 Port Neches-Groves* Oct. 24 @ Little Cypress-Mauriceville* Oct. 31 Nederland* Nov. 7 @ Livingston* Maybe you meant that the tougher games are home games. BTW, they did lose one of those home games. Central game was played in Vidor and LCM and Livingston are what I call Glorified Practices. You could probably throw Ozen in there too, since they usually only play about a half until they quit and call it a night. Im not doggin' Vidor, Im just saying Vidor is tough @ home and most of their games are there this year.
  24. Vidor is going to be a tough team for anybody to beat and since they play all their games at home this year, they are going to be really tough. Vidor has alot of heart and will not give up and that is what makes them a tough out. I think Lumberton and Vidor will battle it out for the last play-off spot the rest of the season and one of these teams will need to beat somebody they are not suppose to beat or I see (dare I say it) coin flip for the 4th spot. Having said that, Lumberton is going to have to play a great game to beat the Jags. If (and they may already have) the Jags get confidence they can win this District... Look out, it could be along night for whoever has to play them.
