Lady Cards got off to a slow start tonight, but picked it up and got a good win tonight going into the Christmas holidays.  When they come back from the break, they will be playing in the Woodville Tournament  Dec. 29 - 31.

1st quarter killed High Island tonight, they were outscored by 13 that quarter.  They played better 2nd quarter on, but just couldn't dig themselves out of the hole they made.  Was a great job by them though.  They get Lutheran South tomorrow night at home.

Great first game between the two teams, second game need I say more.

If you watch enough basketball you will find out what you run into in the playoffs. Teams who are successful are teams that learn how not to let up on an opponent. Wasnt anything wrong with the way the coach had his team play. You have to constantly try to get better because I can tell you for sure the teams Evadale will play down the road are much better and tougher than the competition in our area.

So the teams in our area have to get better to make  everyone better. High Island is greatly improved from passed years and credit to their program. They are trying very hard to establish a good program and the coach is doing a terriffic job there. Im sure he will be the first to tell you that he would tell his team we have to get better to compete and we have to work harder not the Evadale coach is doing any thing bad.

Hats off to High Island, you girls keep playing hard and you are getting better and better and Evadale you just keep doing what you are doing.

One other thing Evadale has a Freshman,2Jr.and 2So. who have to have playing time and learn the system. You cant tell them to ease up you want them to learn also.

So what the Newton boys did to your boys was okay, even though your fans were calling Newton classless for beating them the way they did.  Was over watching the game and heard them say that them.  So it's fine for you to do it to people, yet when it happens to you it's not.

It is snowing in High Island  ;D.  And the kids are outside having a great time in it!  What a way to end a year, first a hurricane and now snow.

they are out and in my opinuon they are a joke NO DOUBT THE RUNNING BACK FROM EVADALE IS DIS MVP SORRY NAME SLIPS ME BUT AWARD WELL DESERVED.  HD had 3 or 4 1st team all dis and 1 2nd team. i will have the exact numbers tonight but the yards and points we put verses opponents was huge. our receivers got nothing our QB got 1st (he threw it to someone) we shut all district teams except EVEADALE out with starters ( wh 1 td with no time on clock and jv in) and we had 2 all district deff. players. NO DOUBT EVEADALE SHOULD HAVE THE MOST BUT HD SHOULD HAVE 2ND. NOT SURE WHY OUR RECEIVERS GOT NOTHING WHEN THEY CAUGHT THE BALL AND THE DISTRICT OFF. mvp HAD NO ONE TO THROW IT. i know of 3 or 4 players with more yards rushing and 1 with twice as many passing. there is 5th and 6th place teams with 1st team all dist. pick sounds like they got together

Was a very exciting game to watch tonight, Both teams fought hard through out the entire game.  High Island has improved so much from last year.  Keep up the great work ladies.

Should be a real good game.  With the momentum that the Cardinals built up last weekend against Burkeville, I think that it will carry over to this weekend.  Plus they get to play at home.  The Cardinals shouldn't listen to any of the negative remarks made about them on here, or just use it for motivation to prove every naysayer wrong!

Heard that they will play home games on Saturday afternoons, and will play them in High Island.  All road games will be on Friday nights.
