  1. And we got a pink unicorn! I gotta check what they're putting in the drinks over here. Could be hallucinating.
  2. Baymax is here! Bluhbluhbluhbluhbluh! I love Big Hero 6!
  3. Darn shame Matt Bryant got cut. He had a great career, if this is truly it. I said my quota of one nice thing today.
  4. 7-6 BC at the half. Livingston lucky it's trick play didn't result in a pick 6. Ran that play last week at LCM and got burned. I hope to never see it again. Lions receive the Q3 kickoff.
  5. BC responds with a nice drive 1yd TD plunge. 7-6 BC. 129 left in the half.
  6. Lions on the board first 6yd TD run 6-0 Livingston 620 left in the half.
  7. 0-0 end Q1 Nothing doing on offense. Had a punt return for a TD called back for block in the back. Damn, it's like the 8th one this year. Lions at the BC 40 to start Q2
  8. 61 degrees and falling. Probably last chance to pick up a district win. Last one was 2016 against Ozen. To think if they would have stayed close or beat Central the following week the Lions would have made the playoffs. On to tonight's game. Probably gonna be ugly on offense. Sr. Night. DeBrian Rains recognized before the game and will have an article about him on Texas Football next week. Be on the lookout. He's a great young man.
  9. As long as they have the arbitrary number if 520 schools in the top two divisions, they're going to have this problem. 4A is the smallest division, with about 192 schools. 6A should probably start at 2600, 5A at 1600 and 4A at 800. No one opens up small schools anymore; they're building them for 3000+ kids these days, so let these big schools play each other and even things out for places with more stable populations.
  10. The first class was 1968. I don't think we should count any Mauriceville Panther games or any Little Cypress games. That other school across town doesn't include the Tigers, Chiefs or Dragons wins as part of West Orange-Stark victories. WOS started in 1977 and as great as they been, they just got to 500 wins last year. LCM has had 4-5 great years since moving to Bear Path. The 300 wins sounds much more plausible.
  11. I'm guaranteed a win either way. I'm pulling for competitive. Is it going to be bad weather that evening? Weatherman doesn't know if the front is going to move fast or slow.
  12. Huffman Hargrave LCM is probably for the title. I would give the edge slightly to Hargrave. 12-4A looks weak outside of Stafford and Navasota. The second round is probably where it all ends with the district of death anchored by Carthage. I would be thrilled with a fourth place finish and a chance to get beat by Navasota in bi-district. But that would mean Livingston would have won a game on the road in either Orange or NE Houston. I don't see that happening.
  13. Y'all had some hits that weren't called. A kid launching himself headfirst, a DDT, a few late hits on our sideline. I wasn't gonna make an issue of it until y'all did. And the no class of your band starting to play when we're playing our school song, who does that? Of all the years I've watched the sport, the bands showed respect to the other schools playing it's song at the end of the game. So spare me the dirty play. And who cares if you had people out. We did too and it's not an excuse. You play with the people you got. You're not as good as you think you are. It's going to be alright.
  14. You're just being obtuse because you didn't get the blowout you expected. Lumberton said it was a real contender for the district championship. It's not. Livingston was looking for improvement after losing 19 straight games. We've already won 2, been competitive in all but one and have stood toe to toe in district. Had we took care of the ball, we'd be 1-1 in district and y'all would be looking for a new coach. No I'm not happy about the loss, a game we could have won, but after the past couple of years, there's light at the end of the tunnel. For Lumberton, it seems to be that this may be your best and it ain't gonna be good enough to reach your goals.
  15. We're a work in progress. Lumberton said it was a contender for the district championship. Different expectations. That why this is worse for you.
  16. Yeah. Y'all gonna crush them. Or should I say we. I'm an alum after all.
  17. I think the Bears are gonna kick the fire out of Lumberton and the Bears might be a live shot to win District. Had to win tonight cause I know Livingston ain't ready to play on the road.
  18. Y'all won tonight, but no one should be scared to play against the Raiders. This was more about Livingston not executing than Lumberton being good. I have serious questions whether y'all can beat Bridge City. Good luck from here on out and pray y'all don't move to 5A. You're team is too slow and dare I say lumbering to do much of anything against a half decent team. 21-9 final. Be safe on the way home.
  19. I could say the same about y'all but I haven't...
  20. TD Lumberton, ughhhhh!!!!!! 20-3 raiders 1153 to go pending the extra point
  21. End of Q3 14-3 Lumberton Third and 5 at the Livingston 8 to start the quarter. A parade of personal foul flags has fueled this drive.
  22. 14-3 Lumberton 305 left in Q3. 36 yard fg for the Lions.
  23. 14-0 Lumberton. End Q2. Very bad offense by the Lions. Livingston gets the ball to start the half. Maybe they'll come out a different team.
