  1. I don't think they're as good as last year. We left 2, maybe 3 TDs on the field. Not saying that if we got those we would have won, but it would have been a much more competitive game. I think the Bears would have a good chance against Splendora.
  2. 48-15 Splendora final. Good game wildcats. Had our chances didn't execute.
  3. 41-0 Splendora end Q 3. Livingston at the Wildcat 4 to start the fourth.
  4. 41-0 Splendora end Q 3. Livingston at the Wildcat 4 to start the fourth.
  5. 27-0 Splendora at the half. Had opportunities to get back in this game and didn't execute. Hats of to the wildcats. Very disappointed tonight. Still got a half to work on our game and improve for next week. Wasn't expecting a win but I did expect a competitive game. Splendora to get the ball to start Q3.
  6. 14-0 Splendora end Q1. Livingston at the Splendora 13 for first down.
  7. Mid 50s for kickoff. Ought to be fun!
  8. I don't know if Splendora will be in 4A next year. But tonight ought to be fun.
  9. Trinity is awesome. They have smoked sausage on a stick from Talent Meat Market in Riverside. Orangefield usually has pretty good options too. Darn now I'm hungry.
  10. That's why we play. Livingston is much better this year. No one in the district is infallible, so overlook the Lions at your own peril. They're not an automatic win this year and won't be over the next few years.
  11. Livingston is going to win at least 2 games. Bridge City I'm willing to Crayola in; the other victim, I'm still working out. Lumberton comes north, and LCM doesn't play to win so I would guess one of the two if they overlook the Lions. I don't think Livingston beats Splendora or Hargrave on the road and it's between those schools for the district title. The L schools are going to fight for the last two spots and tie breakers are going to be important. It ought to be fun.
  12. I would suggest you visit the Equal Justice Initiative, aka the Hanging Museum, in Montgomery, Alabama. That is a horrible word that white people have forever forfeited the right to use. It's about a days drive and will leave you in tears. As for black people, some of us have turned it into a word of endearment and others would bury it. I go back and forth on it every day and have educated my children why it's not a good word but I understand why we as a group use it amongst each other. I can't call my lady' friends the b word but she can. I have no problem with that. Taneshi Coates said it better than I could, that ain't y'all's word and y'all can't tell us what to do with it. [Hidden Content] That said. The punishment seemed fine, he seems remorseful and I hope he comes out a better person because of this.
  13. I think Splendora wins but stranger things have happened. But it will be competitive. As for my alma mater, As long as the Bears play not to lose ( which is what LCM has done outside of 93-98 when we weren't scared), there's a chance. I'm looking forward to visiting Battling Bear stadium for the first time in almost 20 years. Never sat on the visitor side so this should be fun. There's no one in this district that can take a team for granted. Ain't no team in this district is a name that inspires fear in their opponent, like say, WOS. Overlook the Lions at your own peril. They are extremely fast. Livingston is going to win 2 district games and play in November.
  14. So sad. Kids are going too far with hazing. [Hidden Content] This is not good team building.
  15. Livingston travels to Splendora to kick off the district schedule. Although much improved (2-2!) And coming off a shutout no less, I can't with good conscience take the Lions this week. I'm pulling for competitive. 42-26 Wildcats. It ought to be fun. Livingston should be able to make some plays in the passing game and the punt/kickoff team is extremely fast and should have at least 3 returns for TDs and his season. Just ain't big enough to stop the opposing team's rushing attack. Thoughts??? BTW, Livingston is going to win 2 games in district. Bridge City at home and the other victim, I haven't figured out yet between LCM and Lumberton.
  16. Hargrave will be district champs this year. They're not losing to Lumberton at home on Homecoming. 35-20 Falcons.
  17. Katy has suspended it's quarterback for two games and stripped him of his captainship after he was caught on the Mike saying a word that white people shouldn't say. [Hidden Content] Kid sounds remorseful, and no one should be judged by a single bad decision. I hope he learns and becomes a better person for it. Katy will survive this. Just a reminder that hot mikes are everywhere so keep it clean in public.
  18. Carthage is big 4A. No need to worry about them.
  19. No shame for Newton losing to Gilmer. Watched KTRE Red Zone and Newton talked about the size and how Gilmer speed the game up to keep Newton off balanced. They didn't use it as an excuse, but it's a big ask when your kids are going both ways while the other team can rotate fresh guys in at anytime. Gilmer suits up 47 and plays a bunch of them. I would bet when Newton played Silsbee or WOS the number of players were similar or close. The streak was bound to end. Better on the road than in Arlington. I take 15-1 hoisting a trophy versus 15-1 and losing my last game of the season. Newton will be fine. As for Jasper, Silsbee and WOS, the playoffs ought to be fun.
  20. 36-0 final. Livingston. Got a safety on a punt snap out of the end zone. Lions are 2-2 on the year with a bye next week.
  21. 34-0. No more reports except the final score from here out...
  22. We kicked it out of the end zone. Thank goodness.
  23. 28-0 Livingston. 1120 left in the game. Hopefully Huntington can field the kick.
  24. 21-0 Livingston end Q3 Livingston 2 and goal from the 4 to start Q4.
