Sources telling me jones checked out of silsbee this morning???

Oh I know, the dude loves where he is at right now. Just talking about the caliber of coach that needs to be back at the helm there.

I am still confused on why it matters if he was a good player or not. I personally have no clue how good he was, im sure he was a solid 2A player at that time. But how does that relate to him being a coach? It is totally different.

From what I heard, much more than a suspension should have been passed down. And just because he led them to state as a player does not mean he can lead them as a coach (not saying he’s a bad coach, just stating that it is different) The times I have seen them, he big leagues it and sits in the dugout during games. Now behind the scenes, I’m sure he does okay but I wouldn’t know for sure

Are you saying Clark had opportunities to leave and decided to stay? If so, then I do agree that loyalty should be rewarded. Hearing that some Louisiana influence might come into play for this job though.

He doesn't want that spot. Like you said, he enjoys what hes doing right now. It is going to be interesting to see if hangs around there. I guess that depends on who the next guy is.

Historically this program has great tradition, Mitchell could get them back to where they were if he doesn't get the silsbee job.

In all honesty he could probably develop them into good shooters from the 3pt line and free throw line

I heard from a very reliable source that he did apply. I think he has a better chance than people think. He is the last coach to give the tigers a district loss.

Heard through the grapevine that Evadale just sat in a 2-3 the majority of the game and gave up lay ups all night. Was wondering if anyone could give me any insight on what actually happened? Tough loss, hate to see them go down like that

IMO, anyone not named Orangefield and Anahuac are just battling for the first Dll spot. Finishing in the second Dll spot is probably the worst feeling for this district. Somewhat demoralizing, but who knows, anything can happen.

Sadly, I am not surprised this happened between these two schools. Heard that something happened over at Burkeville earlier in the year as well. Any parent hitting a kid is a bad look. I understand that it was a scary situation and a whole lot of emotions were involved, but hitting a kid only adds fuel to the fire.

Couldn't agree more. Theres got to be some sort of consequences, and if there has been then it hasn't been harsh enough.
