I'm not so sure PC is the peach you may think it is. -

As often as Morrison has applied for other jobs, I can't believe no one has hired him yet. I know he was on the applicant list for another job in the Houston area a couple of years ago. Seems like a jam up coach and has done a great job at Diboll. -
Buna is open/Randall Robertson is new coach

Who is this? -
One of my favorite things each year is the fan bases who hoot and holler to run their current coach off, then when the coach leaves, they end up with someone they are disappointed with. Gonna be a blood bath in WV when they lose in the second round this year with several returning starters on both sides of the ball from last years state finalist team. Also, the coach in Gunter is gone, so this may be the year for WV.......or could've been the year if they had valued continuity over chaos.

Coldspring hires Cody Day as new head coach

The reality is the guy is very experienced at being as successful as possible at talent poor and money poor districts. According to some of the things I've read on Colmesneil, it sounds like he is the perfect man for this job. -
There's one thing that's been toppling great leaders for many years. This particular thing is undefeated in that regard.....
-
I was joking with my "listen to the OC comment". Based off the WV posters in this thread it would seem they think they lost to Gunter because last year's HC didn't listen to the OC and open the offense up. I ain't from WV and do not think they improved their situation with this hire.
-
Not sure what to think of this hire. I know Elgin has been fairly successful under Clawson, but honestly it feels a bit underwhelming for a state finalist program returning a bunch for another run. Could be wrong though. One thing is for certain, he better listen to the OC and throw the ball enough or he won't be for long in the 'Ville!
-
If Diboll was your guy, and WV is wanting to throw it more......sheesh. I hear he is on the top of the list for the Coldspring job.

Any idea on interview candidates?

Any movement on this one?

This is quite possibly the most ignorant comment I have ever seen on this message board, and I have been on here for a number of years.

Sensing your sarcasm, but there are lots of coaches with pedigree looking for their shot at a team with potential to make a long run. Neece in Anahuac has quite the pedigree, I am certain there are coordinators from championship programs that would jump all over this one. Woodville has an opportunity to go out and hire a guy they might not have had the chance to even talk to 5 years ago, or 5 years from now. Let's just hope they don't screw it up. And let's hope the rumor about the QB leaving isn't true.
-
What several returners coming back from a State Finalist ball team, I'd assume they will be aiming pretty high with this search. The expectations have to be through the roof in WV and would necessitate hiring a coach with some sort of pedigree. Also, getting him in asap to start thing rolling should be top priority.
-
I'm hearing you want the job but may not make the cut. Hence the saltiness.
-
Man, looks like we got the OC from Woodville on here. Either that or a bleacher creature who thinks he knows what was happening on the sidelines. I appreciate your passion, but Gunter could've given WV their two best players and still got that behind strummed. Gunter is a whole different animal.

Interesting move for Robinson. Is this solely about getting closer to family? Crawford would seem like a step backward after a SC appearance.
-
This is the nature of the beast in TXHSFB these days. Look at all the successful, state championship level programs of the past 15 years. Everyone has hit paydirt with transfers consistently to maintain their ability to stay on top. To me it signals that BH is willing to make the commitment necessary to compete at the highest levels, especially with the pending move to 6A. This is probably just the beginning and will increase in the years to come. It will be interesting to see.
-
I seriously doubt he's shopping his son to get jobs that have never once included "coordinator" in the title.
-
Or maybe you don't understand the reasons why the family made the decision they made. Not saying I do either, but I do know families make decisions they think are their best interest. It's not up to us approve or disapprove.
-
If this is the case, it's pretty sorry of you to post this before 'word on the street' can be properly communicated to his teammates in Anahuac. I guess we will see how everything shakes out.
-
Ah ok. Just curious if you had seen the kid and whether or not he could be a potential starter for the Eagles. I know the Sophomore lefty looks promising, but if I am Simper and I know I need a successful year 1 to overcome all the BS, I don't necessarily want to count on an underclassman backup.

One transfer? Care to elaborate on that?
