  1. EC started off slow but after halftime they took it to Kountze. Kountze dropped alot of passes tonight, wide open ones. 26 seniors for EC, they might be the most experienced team in Region 3 3A D1 behind Yoe. Great team over there in Winnie. They're going to give Kville one heck of a game come November barring any injuries.

we appreciate all of you coming to visit with us.  I think you guys were about 4 rows in from of me.

  2. This kinda of thread always makes me wonder a little. When you have some coaches in the area who will refuse to run up scores and pull there starters so the others have a chance to make a few plays at the end of a game I guess being the best D doesnt matter to them.... Something to think about especially when you are talking about something like ppg. Maybe one TD given up late would be the difference in a ppg consideration.

I know you haven't been to any EC games but the starters have rarely play the 4th Qtr.

  3. You have killed off every school from about 4A DII down.  So what would you tell the parents that have to drive 60+ miles to school each morning.   I can assure you kids from small schools compete just fine because they are going to the same University's as those big high school kids.   I also disagree with the experience.  At a large school they may have to choose one focus and can't enjoy the diversity of multiple sports and academic events.  But, I don't totally disagree with your assessment.  There are some small school (100 kids or less) within a few miles of other schools that could be combined in some capacity.

  4. Depends on if the ref directly interacted with my kid in a manner I deemed inappropriate or if another parent feels the same about their child. All situations can be different. You can use hypotheticals all day long, but at the end of the day in my opinion it depends on the situation. I could give several accounts where the umpire or referees were less than cordial and they are not all saints. I guess that comes from being involved, paying attention to the game, and not just a one time occurrence, but multiple ones. Some folks that "just go to the game" and do not understand it see it differently and are the first ones to scream assault and put the refs on a pedestal as if they can do no wrong. Probably a liberal democrat as well!!

I assume u mean me.   First,  I played college football and my son has been offered a full scholarship to Rice so I would say I am involved.

Second.  I voted Republican last time.

    Come up with something better
