Legacy only had six players available. Two starters remain out (Esprit, Johnson) as well as 6th man (Forest).
Believe it or not turnovers were down to just 15.... And we made 1 of 18 from 3pt land (fortunately we rebounded well)
We got within 2 pts. late in 3rd and just flat ran out of gas (to be expected with no games during the holiday break)
Kids had fun on the court and Optimism still abounds for the remainder of the season.

Legacy 79 - Lake Houston 64
Legacy missing two starters. Had zero tournaments/games during holiday break. Rust and conditioning (ok, mainly conditioning) impacted Legacy in 2nd half.
-
Final;
FTCA 78
Legacy 44
FTCA well disciplined, passing team with excellent 3 pt. shooters (especially if you're not getting to them fast enough to contest).

In game last week against Liberty, Adam had 26 pts, 8 reb, 3 blks. Yesterday, not so much... I think 8 pts, 7 reb, 1 blk. We need him consistent. On Tuesday in Kountze he had 12 pts, 24 reb, 3 blks.
Taydren went out with a wrist injury last week and hasn't played since. Andrew Potter has been filling in as PG (somewhat taking away his looks at 3's) but he was also out a few games under concussion protocols and a busted nose.
We've won twice (both with Taydren present).
New coach, new players, new system. Been rough watching but hope we're learning something and will get it working by District.

I believe the final was Liberty 77 - Legacy 45.
Liberty shooting was lights out. Legacy's offense was almost as offensive as the turnovers (passes to the spectators are never productive)
-
Kountze 67
Legacy 58
Kountze missing Cole and another player was in a cast
Legacy missing Espirit (PG) and Potter (SG)
Legacy;
D. Johnson (F) 16 pts. , 6 rebs, 2 blks
A. Potter (C) 12 pts. , 24 rebs, 3 blks
-
Legacy at Kountze
Final - Kountze 67
-
No doubt a challenging game for Legacy made more difficult with Espirit (PG) out with wrist injury and Potter (SG) questionable with possible fractured nose.

Half
legacy 27
jasper 25
legacy missing esprit (starting pg)
jasper lights out freethrows (nice job)
