There is a definite difference in being a program builder, and being a game winner....Some folks don’t get the chance to build when so many others who have no clue what it takes change a school, and towns culture, especially with unrealistic expectations from people who think their opinions matter.

I saw a current OL coach and former WS alumnus on campus yesterday. Has ties to the community.
This could be any number of individuals.

It's pretty hard to win without talent. You can get kids to walk on glass, and eat charcoal for breakfast. But if you can't win and you still have your team bought into your system that seems more like a cult, and cults are bad.....

Word around town is that Centerville has already been dropped as well, and if history is any indication of the future that he is trying to get a W to keep the ONES whose opinion matter off his back. But in my humble opinion scheduling and coaching were not the reasons that Hardin went 0-10. A 3a d1 school that could not beat a 2a d2 school has more issues than scheduling. You would be hard pressed to find 5 wins before the calamity of a district schedule that your stuck with without traveling several hours for an "easy win" if there is such a thing.

To answer your questions:
1. No he didn't hire the OC from Jasper. He brought his D-Line coach from West Sabine to be the OC. Then he hired the baseball coach from Jasper last year.
2. You're not closer to the situation than I am...He quit...then he realized he wasn't going to get paid out...so he rescinded his resignation...then he was fired.Just an observation .....
With that much inside information about personnel, and knowing how unprofessional this man was, sounds like you are either one of the board members, administrators, or one of the coaches who wanted him gone.

This kind of stuff happens all throughout athletics and you hope it is just bad judgement by a kid, but the sad thing is some of it is directed and taught from the sideline, dugout, or from the stands.
-
I know that, it's sad a lot of those folks up there do not. They think the 14 points they got late in the 4th was the beginning of a dynasty.

Some times the defense has something to do with not being able to hang on to the ball. Though we as fans may not notice it from the stands.
You are correct sir ..... a lot of teams practice ball stripping regularly as part of their warmup or conditioning drills, but some don't, and it shows right along with those tackling drills they neglect.

Have seen both of them this year....Will be the closest game of district play for both teams. Anahuac wins by 3 scores.

Man best thing they could have done , getting rid of stark, they have really turned it around since.
3 Games so called turn around....
La Marque 56-0
EC 42-0
Hitchcock 56-14
I don't think that qualifies as a turnaround exactly.

Can't say enough how glad they should be that Stark is gone.
The season could've been embarrassing had he still been in charge.
Could've been ?
