Curious what you mean as back on track… They beat a bad Kountze team, lost to Orangefield who may end up winning district, and beat a not good Kirbyville team. I feel like the games Buna has lost this year they were supposed to lose , with the exception of the Bridge City game. It’s not like they were blown out in any game either. I guess I just wanna know what the expectations were coming into the year and what back on track means.

Having played for the Cougars and been a die hard Cougar fan my entire life. Expectations were good for Buna we returned several starters and were solid with both offensive and defensive lines. I felt we were good enough with our talent for 2nd or 3rd in district.   The brand of football that Buna put out last year and the beginning of this year was not Buna football under Kinne. Undisciplined, lack of emotion, reckless, and completely out of sorts. Terrier is starting to get this team back to what Buna does playing with passion and emotion, disciplined, playing with controlled aggression. Coach T will go to war with these boys he bleeds for the blue and they will follow him into any battle and not quit. We lost our 1st 3 games by a combined 11 points. The Bridge City game and Crockett game came down to last plays deep in their territory for the outcome. Kinne took a 5 yard delay of gain against Crockett when we could have kicked the extra point to tie. He decided to run the ball up the middle for a two point conversion that failed. Orangefield had two big plays that hurt us that Dischler boy is a fantastic back and hurt us on two big long touchdown runs. That game was close through out. I'm not saying we beat EC but can guarantee the brand of football that is being produced now under Terrier is different. The team is rebounding from adversity and playing with heart on the field. If we continue to run hard with Jacob Johnson and mix the pass off play action as the last couple games it should be a great game come Friday night. As always go Cougars

Let be honest, if you really back these decisions 100% you're probably part of the problem in that community.

This move in the middle of a season should be a BIG cause for concern, not applause.

Again stating opinions when you have no clue what you are talking about. He was the problem the problem has been removed. Coach T will rally these young men and get them focused that is the main thing showing these young men how to win with adversity.

Whatever man stay salty lol, sounds like you're up that new superintendent's butt or maybe up T Hawk's now that he's in charge. Just think it's funny how certain you are about me from a 5 word post because I disagreed with what you said. Makes sense

Lol it was very clear you didn’t know anything about the situation but felt compelled to say it didn’t make sense. Not a suck up in anyway to Dr. Spicer or coach T. I do however support them 100% and back the decisions made. I’m a lifelong resident of Buna been here 41 years class of 99 grad. All 4 of my kids have either went to Buna or still in school here. So yeah to say I’m a backer of Buna that is 100% correct. Just know when commenting on things If you wrong I will call you out. Go Big Blue.

Its going to be interesting to see if a true and full story comes out.  Also, interesting that the new superintendent makes this move when examining her resume online.  Massive movement with only 3 years of classroom experience.  May turn out to be great or could be a nightmare with faculty/coach retention for years to come.  This may be a sports forum, but you may see a much bigger issue in that district down the road.  Be careful faculty and staff and have updated resumes ready.

The full story is out of you are from Buna. This wasn’t based off 1 new isolated incident but is because of ongoing problems. Dr. Spicer has over 18 years experience and had worked the past 3 years as a assistant superintendent. It just so happened it all fell on her plate this move was not without warrant and merit.

So, let me get this straight.

He took the job, as a retire rehire, to "turn things around" and then left 3 games into the season because he wants to be closer to his two boys and wife already left to go back to the DFW ?   Please tell me there's more.

Without getting messy the treatment of coaches in a private setting and in front of the team became unacceptable. Things were seen and heard that ultimately cost him. This was not an isolated incident that caused what happened.

Man you're salty for no reason.

But hey, since you know 100% who I am and who I know why don't you post my name and how I don't know anyone on the Buna staff

Not salty at all. Your comment of "Sure.... Cause that makes sense" when if you TRULY knew all the details and people on staff like you say. You wouldn't comment that statement just stating facts. Never said I knew who you were but that you aint from Buna is all.

  7. Seen this one coming has nothing to do with the new superintendent. But all with Kinne his wife left Buna Junior High at the start of the school year and followed previous Buna Superintendent to Wichita Falls for another position. Tons of smoke he had already laid plans to leave directly after football season.
