I realize this is just one way of looking at it but...
If a team is undefeated, say EC at 5-0, that means they put 5 losses in the L column of their opponents. Without those losses their combined record would be 10-6. While a winless team put 5 wins on their opponents records.
Just a thought.

EC JV 49
Dew JV 8
I believe it was something around that.
Heard it was 42-8 at the half. Must have called off the dogs.

well i wish the best of luck to the sharks i hope to see them do something in the near future, i hope they have come a long way from a couple of years ago when l-towns jv beat there varsity 48-6, i hope to see their name alot more here soon
"...when l-towns jv beat there varsity 48-6"
The way I read this is Lumberton's JV beat Lumberton's Varsity, which doesn't surpise me. Maybe they played after the 10th game so they could finaly say they're in the 'Post Season'.

Let's see.
I love sports, get to wear shorts to work.
You make an average of......$50,000 a year, work 30 years that's $1,500,000.
Health insurance paid for.... $ 3,600 a year, work 30 years that's $ 180,000
Life and Dental paid for.......$ 1,200 a year, work 30 years that's $ 36,000
Sick leave ....................... $ 4,200 a year, work 30 years that's $ 126,000
Pension 15% of salary.........$ 7,500 1 year, work 30 years that's $ 225,000
When I retire I get about 3,000 a month check guaranteed, you would need to
save on your own around $700,000 to produce those numbers.
Yes, I would coach in a NY minute. By the way, from the coaches and teachers I
know they deseve every penny and more.
Not bad. Looks like benefits you would receive at most medium to large corporations in the private sector, with one exception. A degreed professional with 20 years experience you would put a 1 in front of the 50,000.
I like the idea of the shorts to work though.

OK, you got me. Seven weeks vacation and another at Christmas. I suspect if you ask most people they'll tell you about the long hours and other demands of their chosen profession. For the most part coaching is seasonal and the payback is the vacation time. Nothing wrong with that.
And you're right about the 12 hour shift. Sounds like a sweet deal.

look if all of you are going to get upset over that you should not come to tonights game vs hj bc there is going to be worst things said believe me and no i am not a parent i am just a fan so boo hoo cry these are as you said Young Men key word MEN and they will have to learn how to take criticism
I only have one word to say to you...PUNCTUATION
It's very difficult to read and understand what your point is without it.

Nope, wouldn't do it. Couldn't afford the pay cut.
I would enjoy the extra time off though. I'm sure coaches put in allot of time before and during the season but most are also teachers. That 3 month break and time off during Christmas more than makes up for it.

"... and I've lived hear my hole life."
I think that says it all...

And many times Lumberton's opposition doesn't show. Like every year for their bi-district game.
-
In my opinion, I think the position TT should play in college is 2 guard or small forward...
-
That flew right over Melaine's head...Blonde moment...

Year in year out, when I look for the best player at each position, Lumberton is always the first place I check out. Why do you think they are undefeated in the playoffs?
Who is the best team in the area?

Marlin's in 2A. Marlin owns Newton. They will be the most disappointed team in the state if Newton goes D-2 and they are D-1.
