Carry On

Lum W left people in stands scratching their heads. They would do something that worked, and then stop doing it all together.  Their defense played good early, and then started giving up same play all night long. Their QB made some big runs the couple times they ran him, and then they pretty much stop running him all together?  Really strange strategy in this one. 
Good job to PTA making minor adjustments in second half !

The PNG-P coach
watched the video tonight and realized there was an error in score keeping so he conceded the victory to Lum-R. This puts Lum-R in as the #2 Seed over PTA.
1. Bmt-B (Better record and beat Bmt-W)
2. Bmt-W (Won their Division)
3. Lum-W (Better Record #2 in Division behind Bmt-W)
4. Lum-R (Beat PTA lost to Bmt-B)
5. PT-A (Better record than PNG-W)
6. PNG-W (Beat Vidor in Division)
Congrats to the Lum-R Senior Team and Good Luck to All. Thank You STJFL for doing the right thing by those kids. It was a tough defeat either way for one team.
 
 

Sending Respect to those SR PNG-P coaches for conceding their win against Lumberton. True definition of integrity over there at PNG. An awesome example of what STJFL is all about. 

I'm going to lock this post if we can't stay on topic and stop with the cheating allegations. 
Lumberton follows the rules by the way, as 99.9% of most coaches.  Talk about the teams talent, talk about game plans, talk about how these football programs are keeping your kids off the streets.....Keep it positive folks, if you want to get negative, go to the Political forum.....there are plenty of folks who will cry with you and complain how bad the world is.......on this page, we talk about the game!

Just thought I'd throw my option /fact out there. Lumberton-R and Lumberton-W are pretty close in talent wise. I can assure you they don't stack teams. I'm not from Lumberton so don't come at me with that. I've played one team and scrimmaged the other. One is slightly better than the other but it's not because they "stack" teams.

I will say this it looked like both coaches from Bmt and PNG had great sportsmanship before and after the game much respect to both of them you don't see that all the time.

Nederland W ....Jr.......this is just kids...Coaches should defuse all the trash talking and dirty playing not encourage it...

I had a whole lot of Respect for the Nederland organization until yesterday.....It is SAD to take a game that is suppose to be TEACHING young mean to grow up to be good athletes and better young men..And a grown man get so upset that he start using racial slurs towards kids....It's only a game...You stack your team and still can NOT win...Then refuse to pray after the game...WOW

You making all these negative comments against the STJFL makes you look very petty. You should get a hobby or stay on topic. Just in case you didn't read it, this is about stjfl senior predictions, not I'm wanna cry about the stjfl....Staying on topic is a rule, btw....

Ok ok.... When Lumberton stopped "making mistakes," they put more points on the board. Lol That's why we play the game. 14 to 12 at the half. PNG didn't dominate when they weren't "making mistakes"....as the score was 14 to 12 Lumberton WITH 3 Lumberton turnovers. We still came out ahead at the half. Lumberton coach kneed their final possession of the game showing they aren't going to try to score AGAIN because the score was already 34 to 18. PNG got beat!

The game was close all the way until the forth quarter. They traded scores back and forth. The difference that I felt that swayed the momentum was after PNG hit the 80 yard TD pass to #25 with 45 left in the half and then when Lumberton got the ball back with 14 seconds left and ran it in right after that. That was the difference. They went into the half 14-12 Lumberton. PNG scored on their opening drive of the third and gained the lead again. Then that's when PNG started making mistakes and the rest is history. Like I said I can't wait to watch a rematch.

Lumberton had 3 turnovers in the first half. They moved the ball well, just couldn't hold on to the ball the first half. PNG #25 and #22 (I believe) are top notch!! I wouldn't go as far as to say it was a close game though....
It was an exciting game fought hard by both sides.
