Finally a game to get pumped about!!!! I'm glad that BH will finish the season with NC and Porter to get tuned up for the playoffs. This game is a complete toss up, but that District Championship is still out there for Crosby, BH, NC or Porter to grab. New Caney has to be the favorite in this one being that it is at their house, but this game will give BH the opportunity to show that they have improved from the Crosby game and can beat a quality team in New Caney! Lets go Eagles!!! From those that have played both BH and NC what is your thoughts?

going to be a great game

So Dayton fans you have played us both what is your opinions? Honest option's please leave your distain for BH at the door :)

I honestly think New Caney is more Athletic.  But Barbers hill has more size.  New Caneys QB causes problems.  good receivers plus decent guys on the edge on Defense.  #2 for New Caney is a ball hawk.

Probably won't be much of a contest in the last two for Dayton. I know the idea is to send the seniors out on a good note but I wonder with nothing else left in doubt if you pull some of the  younger kids up for the last two and let them get some experience?

No I don't believe they are.  Im not a coach nor am I in the locker room but I seriously doubt it

BH softball and baseball getting it as we speak, Crosby got it over the summer, and I just read PNG is getting it also.

My son is a pitcher he hates turf fields he said when he is on the bump its insanely hot lol.  Plus in travel ball they have a lot of the box mounds when your 6'7 it messes with your stride

Wait a minute, if the last five years under the previous coach was a "spilaring downward disaster" what do you call this 2-5 train wreck under Nations first year? The stuff you say just make little to no sense man.

You're a game away from being at the bottom of the district, I would at least hope you see some potential for improvement. I like the way you keep hope alive but as of right now you're in the middle of the district talent wise and in the bottom half of the district coaching wise, the top is a long ways away right now.

Dayton has taken the mentality of some our friends across the river, "if it was good enough back then it's good enough now". Sucks to have an administration that thinks that way.

Cougar 14.2 I normally don't do this but im going to air a little dirty laundry.  This season was going to happen regardless of the coach.  Nick saban could of taken over this year and we would still be 2-5.  For the past 5 years these seniors went through hell.  They were beat down and watched their spots taken by the coaches son or the coaches buddies kids.  Hancock left this team in a mess.  Hell last year jv didn't even have a defensive line coach.  Its going to more than 1 off season and a few months in the summer to change back the culture.  Im not a fair weather fan.  I respect good football.  Im a football purest so to say.  that's the way I taught my boys to play.  You play hard, You love your brothers, and you never give up.  FFT= Faith, Family, Team.  Yes this year was one we will all remember but we wont be at the bottom looking up for long.  Everyone wants to make the playoffs.  Hell if we don't make it I hope someone from our district wins State.  We get on here and talk bad about KIDS.  I wish you guys much success and good luck in the playoffs.  honestly no hard feelings here boss.  The years to come we will compete.  We will win.  Go Broncos

LOL. After Crosby went in and banged up the #1 ranked jv in Texas, even though our stud sophomores are already on varsity, your thought process brings you to the conclusion your 2-5 varsity will somehow he better prepared than Code Red tonight? These ain't Stew's boys. Heck, these ain't even Hancock's boys. Dayton is going to pick up their fourth consecutive L in decisive fashion like they did against NC and BH.

fSo you think that because they are on jv that they cant play varsity.  the number 1 corner in our district is a freshman on varsity from new caney #2.  My son who is the same age is on JV and they faced off this summer at a football camp at texas A&M and my son demolished him and he is on jv.  Its just the way Dayton is doing things right now and
Im ok with that.  as a matter of fact after being doubled last night Crosby couldn't stop him either.  I told you guys good game why do you sit here and continue to toot your own horn

I will never question that the boys played hard. They did, both teams did and it was a good game. But no one that was there last night cannot honestly expect a different result in tonights game. You can see the same defense at the lower levels of bronco football and our offense has gotten predictable and once again that is not the kids fault. JS...

It will all work out.  Im happy they are finally throwing the ball to the big guy

I know you just moved back but you'll see Dayton's jv records are often better than their varsity ones. You son and his teammates should enjoy the winning while they can. Dayton has a lot of good kids now but they're still 2-5, they're going to have less next year and it's going to get even tougher as they lose enrollment to the top teams in the district. Hard to see the offense and defense both worse than last year and think there's some player development going on. Good luck to Dayton too, after tomorrow of course.

No disrespect boss but we will have to agree to disagree.  So you telling me the kids on JV wont get better lol.  They will be fine and I promise you they wont be 2-5 next year.  I talked to coach freeman before the game.  you guys are going to be good, but so will we

I agree with you bud, it was s good game, of course I would have rather won this one, but we gotta hold our heads up high. My son came home with ice on his right arm and right hand, but other than that we gonna be alright. Got two more ball games, nothing to be ashamed of. Congrats to the Coogs, congrats to the Broncos.

    He played extremely well tonight.

So if Dayton's JV loses to Crosby do you still feel like Dayton will be back in full force competing for district championships again next year at the varsity level? I'm just wondering since most of the young studs are already on varsity getting experience at other schools and Dayton is loaded with seniors but still 2-5 playing against them.

I still think they will compete next year.  My son plays summer ball with a lot of the kids in the district.  They aren't much better than a lot of the sophmores on our jv.  The varsity coach just decided to throw the kids in the fire early this year.  I would much rather my son stay on jv and get reps than get moved up and have to split time.  Its called player development which is something Dayton hadn't done in years.  Well now its back and Im excited about it.  Good luck to Crosby on the rest of the season.  No hard feelings here.  I can take a loss. My son has eaten dinner and iced his hand.  Now he is doing homework lol on to next week

It was in Dayton, heard the refs there were very favorable for the Broncos.

Crosby didn't cheat they made more plays.  It was a good football game.  It was two teams with tons of pride.  Both teams played hard and the refs were not favorable.  I know coach freeman we spoke before the game.  He hadn't seen my son since pee-wee league.  Good job coogs.  good job broncos on to next week
