  1. Haven't watched much aTm football this year, but from the little I have watched Watts is a special player.
  2. I picture him with a scotch on the rocks in hand, cigar in mouth, and a grin on his face after that disaster.
  3. The tailgate that I go to when I go to games is good natured towards opposing teams fans as are most I've seen. There are idiots in every fan base but there are a lot of friendly people out there as well.
  4. You'll have a good time at NRG. Great tailgating atmosphere, and what should be a pretty good football game as well. I recommend going on an empty stomach and finding the food truck of your choice to eat at before the game located between the blue suite parking lot and the stadium. They have quite a few awesome food trucks lined up out there before games.
  5. Almost as impressive as SHSU dropping 66 on the team from Thibodeaux the ags squeaked by but I digress...
  6. Penn St. squeaked one out with a game winning TD pass with 4 seconds left on 4th and goal
  7. Thought this one was supposed to be close. Guess the 30+ prediction wasn't too far off...
  8. Hopefully they can roll into October and make something special happen. I love watching this team play!
  9. Disappointed in the loss and think moral victories are weak, but definitely proud of the performance. The horns look better than they have in some time but need to win ballgames.
  10. Hollywood Hill still making plays!
  11. Would love to know the answer to this. I was hoping to see Warren get 20+ touches tonight
  12. Thought the offensive line was supposed to be a strength...
  13. Hope Williams is ok, losing him would be tough...
  14. Time to see what the rookie LB Cunningham is all about.
  15. Rough start to the season. Sadly, I didn't see much to be excited about as a fan but it is early in the season, hopefully they can get Duane Brown back to help the o-line, and hopefully they can get healthy. I do think the hangover from the storm and all the stress that came with it played a part in their struggles, but I am a no excuses type person so they just need to be better or it could be a long season. I am excited to see what Watson can do as a starter if he does start on Thursday, but I also think it is unfair to place all of the blame on Savage for his struggles. The guy had no help from the line, the running game was stagnant, and the recieving corps is depleted due to injury. Hate to say it but if I have to make a prediction based on the game, the texans looked like a 4-12 or 5-11 caliber team at best.
  16. And you wonder why people dislike cowboys fans... As a texans fan, I give the cowboys nothing but props for playing well and beating an opponent that has given them trouble for the past few seasons, but you are truly delusional if you think the texans are as bad of a team (especially defensively) as they were today. I'm sure the stress of worrying about their family and loved ones while one of the worst natural disasters in the history of this country hit their city had nothing to do with them looking flat.
  17. About halfway through season 1. Very interesting/entertaining show although it's sad how much following up and babysitting they have to do to get those kids to go to class and try.
  18. Nice, I have never been but have heard the Greenbrier is an awesome resort!
  19. He won last week, tied for 9th in a major this week, has made over a million dollars in the past 2 weeks, and is playing the best golf of his professional career I would say. I am happy for the man going into the playoff season on a tear.
  20. He hasn't played his best today, but he has hung tough and put himself in position to make a lot of money for a weeks work.
  21. He has been playing very well this week. Hard to believe he is in contention in his first major tourney played since 2014. Rooting for him to pull it out tomorrow and win his first major.
  22. You are correct, I never said the future, I also never said now. I don't know whenever he will be ready. It may be week 1 this year, it may be week 15 next year. Tom Savage is being completely ignored because he is essentially a band aid that they can rely on because he has been in the system for a few years and the coaches trust him til Watson is ready. The reason I personally mentioned Watson and not Savage is because even though Savage played well, everyone in the fan base knows that Savage isn't the franchise quarterback that Houston has needed to get to the next level. Maybe I'm looking ahead or maybe I'm completely wrong, but for my money, Watson has all the stuff you can't coach and that's what separates the 2.
  23. I'm speaking in reference to the future. It's Savage's job until he loses it or Watson earns it which I completely agree with. If you think long term we have a better chance of winning with Savage over Watson then you're crazy.
  24. A few thoughts from the first preseason game. 1) Watson is the guy. From pre-snap reads to audibles to how he carries himself, his "it" factor is off the charts IMO 2) Foreman may be the best rb on the roster. The dude is a workhorse. 3) Davenport impressed me at tackle. I think if he continues to improve, he can be Derek Newton's or Duane Brown's replacement down the road. 4) Defensively, blown tackles and not being in the right spot based on individual assignments stood out to me as well as needing to find depth in the secondary. 5) Weak link on the entire team is offensive line IMO, but I think they will be better than last year up front mostly due to Nick Martin being healthy, he is a stud.
  25. Dog days of summer fellas. Let them get healthy and put some fresh bats and arms on the roster come September so the core group can get a little rest before a playoff run. I hope they make a move before the deadline to help with our pitching. Offense is fine as is.
