1. Wow. Aggies getting shredded. State may hang 50+ on them.
2. Where's that much improved Aggie D that shut down Arkansas last week?
3. South Carolina is no longer ranked after being beat by Missouri. That victory is not carrying that much weight any more.
4. Two touchdowns taken off the board due to penalties, missed FG. Yeah Arkansas beat themselves. You can say all day long your defense won the 4th. Whatever makes you sleep at night. Why are Aggie fans so defensive? All I said I won't celebrate too much. You didn't play like the #6 team in the country. Any negative criticism and the claws come out.
5. What? Truth hurts?? What was it? Did you do what you had to do or did you get lucky?
6. I would not celebrate to much A&M. You were beat, the pigs gave it away. You didn't play like #6 team.
7. I He came out of the game, not sure if for this or what. Then the back up center snapped it over the head and resulted in LSU td. He was back in next series. I guess winning is more important than declipine.
8. Lamar picks up another cupcake win tonight 56-10 over Mississippi College.
9.
What do some of y'all have against Woodard?[/quote I have nothing against him personally. I just think he was not the right man for the job 7 years ago. Lamar is not competitive in the Southland yet. He has to take some of the blame for drop in attendence and fan base. There's no reason Lamar shouldn't be competing in the Southland. Can't say it's because we are new and need time to get players in. It's going on 5 years playing now. How far off the starting line has Woodard gotten us?
10. Let me ask a new question. Let's say Lamar finally starts putting out a good product on the field and the Southland titles and playoff appearances start rolling in. I think Lamar will see a increase in attendence, tailgating and everything else across the board. Will the fans be satisfied with that product? When Lamar first brought back football, all the talk was going FBS and playing with the big boys. All that talk has seemed to vanish over the past couple of years. Has the realization set in that Lamar is never going to be at that level or what? I personally think the current admin at Lamar would be satisfied being a "McNeese" and staying put in the Southland. As a fan and a grad of Lamar, I want to see them take that next step. I want to see a 30,000+ stadium at Lamar and part of a mid-major conference. Is it possible? I think it is, but it's years away from happening. If that is the goal of the Lamar admin, then they have wasted 5 years trying to reach it.
11. I would not call a half filled on average Provost stadium anything positive. Are we happy with just keeping up with SH on attendence? How about conference wins or trips to playoffs? That's something to build on.
12. Competing on a level where a "Power 5" school will come to your home field will build your fan base. I would line up tomorrow for tickets to see a SMU, Rice or a U of H in Beaumont. And those aren't "Power 5" schools. You won't see me at Lamar anymore for Tx College, Grambling or Oklahoma Panhandle.
13. What doesn't help build your fan base?
14. I don't know the break down, but just for fun say 75/25. Which is probably high for Miss St. I think Lamar would take that crowd any Saturday at home. Point is USA is competing at a higher level than Lamar and Lamar is no closer to that level today than the day they started 5 years ago. Oh where has the time gone?
15. Ok, let's compare us to South Alabama in Mobile. Enrollment at USA & Lamar for 2013 was 15,311 / 14,054 and Mobile population is a little larger than Beaumont at 194,822 / 118,228. USA just put over 33,000 in there stadium this past Saturday with SEC Mississippi State. They lost 35 to 3, but not a total blow out. USA started playing in 2009 and Lamar starts back in 2010. They finished 6-6 (4-3 in Sunbelt) and FCS Bowl elgiable in 2013. Lamar finished 5-7 (2-5 in Southland) and watched the bowl games like the rest of us.
16. I see progrms like UTSA, Tx State, and South Alabama and where they have come from over the past years. I think Lamar went wrong when they hired Woodard. He is in over his head. UTSA started a year behind us I think, and see where they are. There's no reason Lamar is that far behind them. We can't even post a winning record in the Southland. Get the right coach with the right kids and then build from there. Non-conference needs to nothing but FBS or FCS schools. No more NAIA schools, does your team no good. Start playing schools people know and heard of, both away and home games, and people will start coming back. Hard to pay $100 for a family to go see a no name school lay down just so your team can claim a win. And even harder to justify spending $$ to tailgate for those teams as well. Just no pride in playing those types of teams and not just pride for the school but the fans as well. If the program is not changed from the current path in the next few years, I see it dead again in 5 years.
17. Attendence is down, tailgating is down, overall excitement over the program is down. What does Lamar need to do to turn this program around? You have just been hired as new AD of Lamar, what's your first plan to get the program back on track.
18. Ate there once and won't be back. Had the brisket and they pulled it from the fridge, sliced it and heated it up in a microwave. You need to try Pecan Lodge at Dallas farmers market. Excellent brisket and pulled pork. I think they are listed 2nd behind Franklin's as best in Texas.
19. I would be fine with one side or the other. I didn't expect both to go to him. But look at his stats on both sidee of the line. They are deserving of the awards. Imagine what those stats would be if he only played one side of the line. Congrats Montana. Those shoes are going to be hard to feel next year. It was a pleasure watching you play these last few years, good luck in the future.
20. Congrats girls, hold your heads up high. You did your school and your community proud.
21.
I just let the Lumberton games speak for themselves and I have a problem with Vidor because they have two good players and after all these down years they think now they can beat everyone.  And I was incorrect it was late and I read my district scoresheet wrong. I guess that last game may be the most important game in the whole district this year before the playoff.
How do you want them to act. That they are terrible and play down because of the past history in Vidor. That makes no sense. And what have the Vidor players done that deserves that statement. You have continued to down these girls for their hard work and dedication. They should be applauded for their efforts and refusing to be like the past teams in Vidor. Why don't you just stick to Lumberton and leave the Lady Pirates along. You can comment on their performace next time they play your Lady Raiders.
