  1. Poppabearstarr, I understand what you are trying to say but you know as well as I do that this is going to be an ongoing problem. I just left a 7th and 8th grade girls game with Hf. Fans were separated but sitting on the same side. One man from HF did not like the refs call and began yelling Bull^%$^ and called the ref an S.O.B. Now not everyone heard him but some did. My point is that even though 99% of the fans are there to watch good basketball, that 1% or less than 1% or idiots and will cause problems. Since you never know who that 1% will be its much easier to have the two sides separated. you are less likely to have altercations.
  2. I, also think that fans should sit on there side.  Sooner or later there will be a problem.  Stop it before it starts.  You don't see fans sitting on the same side at football or baseball games.  Why basketball?  If you pay $30 - $40 a ticket then you can choose were you sit.  You pay $3 you sit were you are instructed to sit.  Bottom line is if fans are separated you are less likely to have a confrontation.
  3. To: Sports Card I told you where I got my information. Where did you get yours? I am already aware that the BC coaches said that OF only wanted to play one game. Unless you actually have first hand knowledge of the conversation, (I don't, that is why I said "I was told") neither you nor I will ever know for sure. As for BC's freshman record, let me correct myself. It is true that they have only lost one game out of the games they have played, and that BC freshman beat OF freshman in week 3 (14-6). That game was a pre-district game. The one we did not play was the district game. Fact of the matter is that these boys have played against each other all the way up and it has always been a good game. For example, last years 8th grade meeting... OF 7 - BC 6. excellant game won by OF in the last minute. The game we played in week 3 another good game. What I am saying is that I can assure you that the OF boys wanted to play.... and it sounds like BC kids wanted to play that game. Whoever made the decision to combine the teams I think it was a bone head call.
  4. Well, from what I was told by an Orangefield Coach, BC's freshman had to merge with their JV when they played OF because some JV lineman had to be pulled up to Varsity. Therefore, O'field's freshman joined the JV so they could play a game. When BC showed up to play the game there was about fifty (50) players suited up. It was rediculous.. Someone from BC, on another thread, actually bragged about BC's freshman only losing one game. I don't think that is an accurate account of their season.
  5. It was a very classy thing to do, but I am curious to know if they do this after they have won a game. I was at the game and and it kinda made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. As an old football player I can say that would be plenty of motivation for me not to lose if I didn't have to go stand behind the other team and listen to their band play their schoool song.
  6. It doesn't bother me a bit because Kelly is not in a 3A district and never will be. And, NO they didn't "spank" my school, didn't even play them. The fact of the matter is Kelly does recruit kids. I know the majority of them are not recruited but there are some and some, not all are recruited regardless of the kids past record, criminal are otherwise. I KNOW THIS FOR FACT!!!
  7. do the other schools in the 3A district get to recruit kids and give scholorships too..
  8. Orangefield's 7th A and 8th A or very strong and making a run at district champs. The 7th A team is impressive to watch espicially since this is their first year of school ball. As of right now 7th A is undefeated for the year, winning each of their matches in two games. The 8th grade A team has lost a couple not sure how many but they are still a force to be reconed with, however, they do need to win out to be sure of the district championship.
