So is Splendora not going to be able to play in this district? Didnt they beat Lumberton the last two seasons or is Lumberton going to be that much better this year? Sounds like Vidor and Huffman will be the game for District Title!

Huffman definitely looks legit. As of now they are the team to beat in district. But when LCM plays to their potential, we are not bad. the win on the road at splendora was impressive. take away a few penalties at the end, and a fumble, we win by 3 scores. the 2 losses on the year were to WOS and Jasper (both top 10 in 4A D2). But if we want to beat Huffman, we have to step it up for sure. Cannot afford any dumb mistakes
Agree but I think we can also say take away a pic deep in our territory and a pic 6 and the game is different. Kudos to the Bears but this district race is still wide open........... I was at this game and Splendora out gained LCM 385 to 285 on offense. 3ints was big difference.

Great point and I Agree that is the 1-5 team they have a schedule......... So you are saying no teams in this district are good?
Huffman played Kirbyville, Fulshear and Houston Worthing combined 1-17 record
LCM- played HJ and Bridge City combined 1-11
-
And who has the other teams in district played??????
Splendora Oppenents combined record- 15-15 One team is 1-5 and 3 schools have winning records
LCM Oppenents combined record- 12-17 One team is 0-6 and one team is 1-5 and two schools have winning record
Huffman Oppenents combined record- 11-25 Two teams are 0-6 and two teams are 1-5 and two schools have winning record
HMMMMMMMM..........

Eligibility grade check at 4pm Friday... Panthers may be a tad thin for the next 3 weeks.
Is it already time for grades to come out and kids can fail? Dang I wonder if either of these teams will have issues with that!

Aren't the JV teams for both of these schools also playing tomorrow night for the District Championship?

Splendora is also leading the district in rushing yards at 2300 this season and Lumberton has 2000 so far.

You are right and he got what he was looking for. We should just keep talking about the game and ignore what is not football as you would probably much rather do as well. So here is a question for Soulja and anyone else that would like to give their prediction:
Assuming Splendora cannot run the ball any better than our last 3 district opponents (Less than 100 yards) and we run to our average (About 400 yards).......
Can Lumberton win with 1 pick per 100 yards given up through the air ( I think we have 15 on the season with 3 returned for TD)?
How are yall averaging 400 yards a game rushing but your overall total offensive yardage in 300 a game? I do not believe the Raiders will be able to run all over Splendora. I also believe that Splendoras QB has not thrown an INT all season but has thrown for 22 TD's.

So are you saying that Dayton looked better than Splendora or should have won the game?

LCM beat splendora 2014 37-0 2015 56-7 . Our Score last week we lost to the #1 state ranked team in Texas 45- O. WOS would probably put over 100 on Splendora.
Good Luck this year buddy. I just hate idiots who get on here and run their mouth like you. I wish you guys the best of luck in new district.

No, LCM17 I think that was your score last week vs. WOS.

Great scrimmage on both sides. Orangefield is very physical and ran the Slot T well.

Splendora looked very good considering they are picked 5th in district and Needville is a top 15 in state pre season pick. I liked what I saw on both sides by them but I am really excitied to back in the stands watching football. I think Splendora is on the road the next two weeks against pretty tough oppenants so we will see how they do. Good Luck to everyone this season.
