Stepp says Houston head coach and DFW coordinator are in the finals. Ashly Elam tweeted they were on campus.

I dont think so either. If that was the plan they could just have an interm from on staff for a year. But can't blame PNG fans for being excited about the idea of Dodge.

And I would think if you're a current coordinator ar Westlake you wouldn't be ok with moving to PNG for a year as HC then being a coordinator at PNG. You'd just stay at Austin Westlake and try and win another ring.

No, that's what I meant. I'd think a lot of Austin Westlake assts could go be coordinators right now somewhere.  But maybe there's someone that Dodge is close to that would be up with that.

The way this article reads, they only intend to post the job for the minimum ten days. If that's the case, they probably know who they want and a hire will be made quickly.

Regarding the Indian Faithful, if the rumored name is the one the school board picks, I suspect they'll find the reaction to be as bad or worse than the reaction to Faircloth's departure.

I have nothing against that coach, to be clear. Just saying public sentiment about this is nowhere near where your post suggests it is.

Bastrop made a good AD hire in the coach from Brenham

13 is still incredibly low. Even if people knew it was a done deal already

The PNG Head Football/AD position is NOT posted on Texas High School Coaches Association web site. That is going to limit the applications... look at WOS... Administration did not post on THSCA and only 13 applicants...

IMO they got their guy already.. really no surprise. like I said people already know.

PNG nation will be happy with him.. Good Coach with a lot of experience at multiple levels of football. 

 

Sulphur Springs also never posted their job.

PNG posted the job. So must be official
