great post i agree dicipline is a big factor in high school sports HD's biggest obsticle is going to be staying focused on thier main goal which at this point has to be winning district. Which they have a shot but if they let some pre district losses break them down its a shame, because they have some talent

these rankings are based on last year mostly and you wont be able to gauge anything by this game HD could lose by 5 touchdown but still beat evadale or HD could win and still lose its all about match-ups i hate it when ppl say well team A beat team B but team C lost to team B so team A is the best no it is all about match-ups especially in High School sports

i think with the return of brey if he has improved you have to throw kountze into this conversation. on any given night Kountze can play with Silsbee and HJ

i agree this game shouldnt be close but if WH can stay healthy and learn somthing about thier team with this game it should help them come district to prepare for evadale because at this point they seem to be the team to beat

Man they must be the luckiest team ever with all of their district championships, state appearances,State Championships, Regional championships...man they are lucky for sure... they are pretty luckly but a lot of time winning takes a little bit of luck. Don't you think that last year they were lucky that they did'nt have to play silsbee in the reginol finals not saying they would have lost to them just think that silsbee was a much better team than jasper so yes that was luck but silsbee didnt take care of buisness like HJ did

Hold on, let me check...Yes, you're right. He's from Hardin, so he must be the best pg in the district. Isn't that how it works? If he is'nt the best i don't know who is now no he is not head and shoulders better than the other PG in the district just in my openion he is slightly the best when healthy

Good for WOS i have always been a believer in the only way to get better is to play against better competition not saying that the HJ tourney does'nt have better comp than WOS i just think that the YMBL is a lil better tourney

Mike goodson got drafted by the carolina panthers and should put up good numbers on special teams. if he would have gone to USC he prolly wouldnt have gotten much playing time and would still be in college

this topic is'nt HD vs. Warren it's WH vs. Warren this should be a good game for both teams to know where they are and what they need to work on

I am very glad to hear this. This proves that the kid worked hard to achieve his goal of playing at a major college program. and he earned this no one gave it to him

all i know is these guys from HD better hope that Haynes is feeling generous because he knows what this rivalry means and thanks to HD 55 he has seem to let everyone on this website know and this is not the year for HD to be running their mouths at Hardin because it could get ugly. HD55 if you think that gilmore kid is a beast wait until you watch the Villamez kid he will look like a man among boys aginst HD

i believe WH will struggle on offense early trying to work out the kinks, but i believe their D will hold strong and help them pull it out in the end WH 12 Warren 7

i agree but i don't understand why they aren't always one of the top teams in the state year in and year out they always have the athletes to compete with the best teams in the state, whats the deal is it coaching?, work ethic? it puzzles me why they aren't better than they are

WH is down big time from what they were 4 years ago but so is every team in the district same goes for the 2A district now that is the only reason hardin is doing anything back in 04 when the district was good as a whole hardin was where they would be this year in 4th place watching the playoffs and i dont understand why guys from hardin are on here talking smack about weak schedules if you want to talk about weak pre district schedules hasnt Hardin played 1A teams like WH and HD every year in pre district?

i know this is off subject but what position is Brey going to play at kountze i know he was a reciever but is that where kountze needs him?

MV is a good player but he is no where near the player that Micha Mosley was at NED, Mosley rushed for 400 yards in a few games his Sr year he is bigger, faster and Stronger than MV is and he did'nt get the chance to play at the Major D1 schools.

the reason WH has scheduled a weaker team in pre district these last few years is for many different reasons and they are pretty good reasons in my openion. 1. WH doesn't have many players. they have about 8 guys that go both ways. so they get beat up and bruised if they play a tough team every week. by the time district starts their main players are so banged up they are not 100% so it gives them a week to play a quarter or a half and get some rest for thier key guys. 2. the second reason is WH hasn't had a JV in a few years so those freshman and sophomores don't get very much playing time during district so it gives those guys a chance to play and get some experience which is much needed ask evadale having a JV has helped them tremendously. so ill be the first to tell you yes they have 1 weak pre season game a year but the other teams that they schedule for pre season are good match ups to prepare them for their district.

no offence to anyone on here but for yall to think this kid is good enough to play at major D1's like those schools that were mentioned yall are crazy. He is a good 2A player and a good kid, but he is no where near that level. to me he isn't much better than the back from HD last year and he is not as good as the back WH had a few years ago i think in 06. and neither one of those kids are playing at major colleges
