h-j is going to have to find a leader since they lost ryan if they dont the silsbee hj game wont even be close

werren is going to have to play a very planned out game when they play ec and kountze because warren has good basketball players but they do not have the athletes that kountze or ec have so they are going to have to play a very structured type of game. and control the tempo to have a chance because if they try to run and gun with kountze or ec they will get beat by 20

im not dogging on them at all im just saying granger was that hustler on the team that got them a lot of 2nd chance points. trust me its a lot easier to shoot the three when ever you know you have someone down there in the paint that is ganna get your rebound if you miss for second chance points. the biggest area where they are going to miss him is in the rebounding because he was a big body to box people out

warren lost their most dominant player in granger, paul and sims are good but it starts in the middle the reason they got wide open threes is because of granger i think hardin and deweyville have a chance to upset warren

i take silsbee HJ is not athletic enough this year to play the style that coach sutherland likes to play.

ec tramaine is too much for the rest of the district

I'm glad to see deweyville doing well but hopefully next year they will schedule a tougher pre district to get them ready for the playoffs cuz playing these weaker teams help them but for them to take the next step as a football program they are going to have to start preparing for the playoffs not just for district

it would be a good game remember last year buna beat hd about as bad as west hardin did and you have to remember everyone says west hardin would not hang with the big boys in 2A but just 2 years ago west hardin was still a 2a and that year they did not make the playoffs but they should have had zach simmons not gotten hurt because they were beating ec 12 nothing at half time and ended up loseing and he got hurt early in the 4th but if he would have been healthy west hardin would have beatin deweyville and hardin to take the third place spot in that district so you cant say they wouldnt hang with those teams cuz they would. and im not saying they would beat all the teams but they could hang with all of them.

football is more than just about athletes ya they help but attitude has a lot to do with it and yes kountze is starting to get that football attitude but HD has had it so i take hd by 14

i agree wh will take this one there d is solid and there o was a little rusty but it usually is in the first game both teams are identical in the style they play should be a good one

you also have to keep in mind were just sittin here talking about how far southeast texas teams would travel imagin how far some of the south texas and west texas teams would travel. A lot of trips would have to be over night ones and i dont think parents and teachers would like that to much

copeland hands down they are all good shooters and sims is a good one to but he is more of a set wide open three shooter copeland can hit it off the dribble with a hand in his face and now you also have to throw caleb jackson in the mix cause he can light it up when he gets hot

there is no way that john stealy runs a 4.6 40 i dont know if hardin has anyone on there team that fast maybe that marsh kid

yes they are fast everyone knows that but football speed is totally different than track speed. am i right ? everyone is making such a big deal about there speed but that had that last year. nothing against HD they are one of my fav. small schools in the area but they cant just rely on there speed.
