Good article today's Chronicle on Riley. Nice to see a kid from a small school do well when given a chance.

They have one senior.

How hard was it to find a seat?

Went to the game last night as a neutral fan just wanting to see the best matchup I could find. I was quickly turned-off by the arrogance of the Friendswood fans sitting around me. Good ballgame, several bang-bang plays, two very good teams. Gotta hope that Ned pulls it out. Would love to see Ned vs Brenham next week.

After reading some of the stuff on here about Hamshire doesn't always show much class and this and that, I have to say that during this series they played the game the right way. Best of luck to you guys the rest of the way.

Pictures really don't do the thing justice.
I saw it in person over the weekend.
All I can say is WOW!
You usually need a giant and a beanstalk to have something that high.

Bet the farm that the Horns win every game.
-
Tarkington 9
Cleveland 1
-
Splendora has had some crazy things happen. They will be heard from before it is over.

You guys are entitled to your opinion, but the coach that was promoted is a retire/rehire who had only been there one year. Give the guy a chance.
-
Not for sure on scores, but the day one results were:
Anahuac over Liberty
Concordia over Cleveland
Splendora over Corrigan
Tarkington over North Forest
Liberty vs Cleveland today at 10:00
Corrigan vs North Forest at 1:00
Anahuac vs Concordia at 4:00
Tarkington vs Splendora at 7:00

Yea, I heard that they were thinking of cancelling the season because of lack of talent.
You have got to be kidding me. Take a deep breath, its only week one. Lots of ball left to be played.
-
Just thought about it.
Coach must be pinching himself to make sure it's real.

Dayton fans, move on!
You have bigger fish to fry this weekend.
Bring it home.

Saw some pics today of Huffman's new turf. Very impressive, ETBU must proud.

Congrats to the Brook.
First time I've seen you guys play this year. Memorial's defense was totally out-athleted. Gotta give it to Snelson and Imhoff, they left it all out there and kept it as close as possible. Those two are warriors. You wonder what their season would have been like with just a little defense.
Good luck the rest of the way to the Bruins.
Oh yea, 33 is a hoss.

Hey Tribe fans, now would be a great time to let the scoreboard do your talking.
-
No way Memorial is held to 17 points.

In years past, the district comparison was true. Not so much this year. You guys lost Jasper and Kirbyville and that took a lot of the sting out of your district. Props to WOS, but the dominance of previous years is lacking from the other teams in the district.
-
Brook should be favored, but keep an eye on Bo Snelson and Chance Imhoff for Memorial. They are fun to watch and Snelson gets more out of 5'9 than anyone besides Quiz Rodgers. Memorial has been banged-up all year and their defense will have it's hands full, but you better not take them lightly.

Coldspring is fast, but you really can't imagine how fast Cleveland is until you see for yourself.
-
Tribe 27
Trojans 14
This is as fast and deep as I've seen Cleveland in a long time.

What is Huffman's remaining schedule?

If someone from Friendswood could help me out here,
I noticed that you only had two left-handed fielders in the field last night, but it seemed like you had several guys hitting left-handed. My question is, why would you try to hit left-handed against a very good left-handed pitcher if you were naturally a right-handed hitter?
Not trying to stir anything, just curious.
