11-2. Lamar moves to 9-0. Take on the Penn Quaker from the Ivy League in a 3 game set this weekend.

LSU and San Francisco State at Austin are knotted at 0 through 3. Good ball game so far.

Up 6-0 after 4 against Alcorn State. Alcorn had the worst rpi in D1 last year and ranked 301 out of 301 according to Boyd Nation's Boyd's World website. Lamar should cruise and thus far they are doing so.

Not sure Penn is a weak program. Played for the IVY league championship last year and played Sourh Carolina quite well to open the season this year.

4-3 Lamar wins. 8 and 0. Nice start to the season. One concern though as the offense is starting a bit slow. Time will tell if they can produce a little more. Pitching production has been solid.

Headed for extras. HCU went 15 innings Friday night in a wild 21-14 loss. Yes, a football score.

Offense needs to get clicking tonight. Averaging just under 5 runs a game this far on the season and 3 scoreless so far. Down 1-0 in the top of 4th with HCU threatening.

Added 2 more to take a 5-2 lead. Win it with that score.

Snell with a no doubter line drive over the left field wall. 2 on (1st and 2nd) top 9 Lamar still batting with a 3-2 lead.

2-2 through 4 innings. Another great day for baseball.

Only 5 games, but thus far it appears the pitching depth is stronger than last year. Hopefully it holds up.

Lamar's noncinference schedule is fairly solid. Baylor adds another Big 12 school and UTRGV is solid. The program I miss them playing is UL Lafayette.

Snell with opening day walk off long ball in extras! Last year walk off homer in extras on opening day....Snell was the guy last year as well. Crowd size was decent despite the cold. Back at it at 2 today.

Not sure on matchups, but does it really matter? Bad baseball is better than no baseball!!!

I know everything your saying hitman, I lead a committee and lobbied for same opponent in a week, but everyone caved to one coach in the district and my own AD helped torpedo the idea as well.
