  1. It is qoutes such as this when the statement " ... with friends like these who needs enemies"? Making statements about a teams morale being poor and but not knowing if or who is injured on the same team with low morale, makes me wonder about your facts? Kids today quit for many reasons, most stem from vaginalitis. But to then wish team luck at "restoring order" on the team? Are you truly a fan or an imposter? As far as the teams success, it is truly very early to be condemning this team. Isn't Lumberton supposed to win this game? Can a player please come on here and elaborate on these "rumors"? I think I might just have make the drive to Hamshire to see how bad they are? Man what a tough crowd. Good luck to both teams. Unless you have a dog in this fight, please keep your nose in your own business. I was merely offering some explanations to the topic of this thread. I did not cast blame on any one person. The Horns are just having a run of bad luck. I have been in the HF community all my life, needless to say I am no enemy of HF. I am however a very staunch supporter who's passion so times get away from me. Please do not ever question my loyalties again.
  2. MY HF PICKS ARE: DUSTIN EAST - LB REGGIE BOYKIN -LB HAGAN DAIGLE - RB/DB CAMERON BURRELL - DB SEQUOIA HARRY - OL JAKE KOEHL - DT They made All District last Year and should equal or better their performance this year.
  3. Talk about a moronic post....maybe you should focus on H-F now If this is what makes it better for you then so be it. Posts like this makes people want H-F to beat you guys. By all means keep it up, us HF Horns will take all the support we can get.
  4. I hear you, I pray it miraculously dissipates.
  5. That's what I'm talking about, Texas HS Football is King. I can already feel my heart starting to pound in anticipation of this Friday night. Hope everyone has a good time and for those of you traveling have a safe trip.
  6. The following prediction from Accuweather does not look good for SETX [Hidden Content]
  7. I have read where HF is really plagued with allot of injuries. I can not tell you who, as I do not know. I am just repeating what a sportscaster had written after visiting one of the teams practises. I also heard that the morale is poor. I am not going to mention any names but I think a few key guys have quit the team. I wish the injured kids well on what I hope is a speedy recovery from their injuries and to the coaches as they try to restore order to the team. GoodLuck to the Horns as they take on them Raiders this Friday.
  8. What a great place to talk about not only High school football, but other sports as well. Keep up the good work.
  9. Think about that statement for a minute, the junior group has not had a losing record in the past 9 years. By my calculations that would make them ineligible to play because they would be to old, unless of course you are adding in Pee Wee Football experience.

  11. This was my prediction at first, I wold like to change it a little. If H-F has a good D-line and can hold L-towns RB's or at least slow them down they will have a chance. If H-F has a decent secondary they won't have to worry about Lumbertons passing game. If H-F doesn't have a good D-line then that is another story Beard and Hannah will run all over them. They are some big ole boys that don't like to go down. Again if H-F has a stout D-line then they will win by 7, providing their o-line is decent as well. While I appreciate your cautious optimism, I am really concerned because of how we performed in our two scrimmages. I thought we would have a pretty salty defense, from what I heard we are having trouble stopping the run. I thought we would be able to match up pretty good against other teams with Good speed as we have some ourselves. One thing is for sure we will find out Friday Night. Man if ya'll are having trouble with the run then it may be a long night, those 2 Lumberton runningbacks could hurt you. I hear you that is what's got me concerned. I think we will be okay between the tackles, as we have a good group of Linebacker's. I think we are having trouble outside the tackle box, getting outran to the corner. Depth is another concern going up against a 4A school they will no doubt have an advantage in that department. I have said all along that we might not win, however I do not think we will get beat by more than 14 points. I hope I am not eating my words come next Monday. If I am wrong I will be man enough to admit it.

  13. Two weeks ago I would have nominated HF, after two scrimmages I am not so sure. We should know more after the Lumerton Game.
  14. You did not miss by much. I was expecting a better showing from my Horns. I hope we can get something going before district starts. Good Luck to you Kat's I think you guys will do really well this year.
  15. I was not at either of the HF's scrimmages but from what I hear they are not doing well at all, especially for a team the many thought would be battling for a playoff spot. I knew our offense would struggle a bit early, however most of the players we had back we are on the defensive side of the ball. I was expecting a pretty salty defense this year. Can someone out there that is in the "know" please offer up some explanations as to why HF is struggling so much. Are they plagued with injuries, or do they just lack intensity and not want it worse than the other guys? I know one thing for sure, If the coaches do not right the ship soon, the Horns faithful could be in for a very long season. So come on Horns fans lets lite a fire under them and get them fired for the Lumberton Game. I hope the HF player who got hurt is going to be okay, God Speed to him on his recovery. :o > >
  16. any word on the HF/ Kville scrimmage? Is is pretty flooded in Hamshire I would think it would be postponed.
  17. I am wondering if they are even going to have the scrimmage today as scheduled. If they do look for it to be a " Mud Bowl ". There will be allot of fumbles, slips & dropped balls
  18. What happened to HF,They come out on the short end against a school 1/2 their size. They better hold to their helmets when K-Ville rolls into town Thursday.Any comments on what happened???? HF will be just fine remember this was just a scrimmage and Anuahac is no slouch, especially this year. They have a really good Coach and like 17 returning starters back from last year. I know this is an early prediction but I will go out on a limb and say they will win their district this year.
  19. you must be smokin sumthin. There is no way, even if you get lucky and beat the Horns I can assure you it won't be by that much. Our defense will be very "SALTY" this year.
  20. Oh, I'll help my man, dirk out. How about bitter? Will envious do? Troublemaking? Spineless? I am sure that dirk will think of more but had other things to do. You make a comment about the Mustangs scrimmaging in their first day in pads followed by the number to the UIL trying to imply that something was illegal and then when you are called on it you go to the "AW SHUCKS, I was just funnin" card. I guess spineless is the best choice. Hey Fisherking, word to the wise do not bringup the word " RECRUIT ". Talk about a Hailstorm
  21. BC has actually been very good in footbal since dropping down to the 3A ranks. They had a down year in 07 with allot of inexperienced kids. I Look for them to be greatly improved this year.
  22. I think this one is going to be good game. I will have to give to the Bobcats in a close one. This will give HF some idea's of what they need to do, as both of these schools on their schedule.
  23. I would imagine the fans will some how end up paying for this in the long run.
  24. come on now, that's what makes this time of year & forum so much fun. As long as it is done in a friendly and professional way. Man I am ready for some Football, I have already got that feeling in my stomach. Good Luck to everyone, especially the HF Horns.
