Guys you forget. This is a Mecca. They are a 2nd Round 5A Power House. They have a JV that has more commits than most Varsity team. We heard about the MECCA all year during season. How nobody in the region would really test them other than yada yada and yada yada. They are a shoe in for State Semis at least. And then.... Woodshed.

I think were arguing different points. Once again, I do not believe they would take any individual players job. I did not say they would start. I believe they would touch the field. I believe they would contribute with depth. Touching the field is not the same as starting. At the 5A level it is alot about depth. They would touch the field. IMO. That's my opinion.

If you seen in my initial post, I stated Crosby has the best skill guys and that it was not close. My issue was with the not touching the field idea.

Your original statement was none of them would "even have touched the field". Those WOS players would have most definitely "touched the field" and contributed. Several of the Crosby skill players were injured at some point and missed time. At the 5A level depth is very much a factor. You and I both know, teams that have the athletes, coaches, and numbers are usually more successful, especially with some of the injuries Crosby had to deal with. All the other fluff said is taking away from the point of my opinion. To say, the WOS elite wouldn't touch the field in Crosby is ridiculous.

I usually don't get into stuff like this, but you guys from Crosby are awfully cocky. I understand you have an incredible district record as of late. However all of your D1 recruits and the 17 guys or so ya'll sent to play big college ball didn't make it out of the 2nd round. I'm for all SETX teams, and wish nothing but the best for Crosby, but damn. Ya'll got housed in the 2nd round and your saying some of the best players on the WOS State Championship team wouldn't touch the field in Crosby? The SETX schools on our side of the Trinity may not be a bunch of studs, but don't get it twisted, Crosby wasn't either. 2nd Round and out.

Gotta agree. Crosby has the best group of Skill players in this area. Not close really.

I agree. Although, I don't see Dayton beating Crosby. But, if you follow the basketball pickems, I know about 52% of what i'm talking about.

It's nothing personal. Just my opinion. Didn't Central finish 3rd this year? And beat the 4th place team on a hail mary as time expired? They lose a highly recruited D1 RB and add PAM to the district. 1st place? LMBO

Man, this district will be tight. I don't think there is a clear cut favorite or top two. I think the 4th spot comes down to Central, Lumberton, and Ozen. But, I have no idea what these schools have coming back for the most part.

I agree with you on that. It's hard for me to judge, not knowing what is going on over there.

I think the board needs to make some changes. For one, appointing Bobcat 55 as Assistant to the Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator. Hodges clearly don't know what offense to run. That pistol idea?? Joke. Mr. 55 can probably teach them boys how to run the Read option in a few days. He probably has some key suggestions on defense that could turn that unit around as well. HD has undeniable talent at almost all 22 position. No reason to lose another game.

No connection to the program. But, quitters quit, players play. Hard to imagine she is so much more committed than the guy whose career is coaching, but i've seen some pretty lazy coaches. I'm assuming she quit because all I know i what has been posted. That isn't what a committed, hard working, leader, dedicated player does,
