I have no predictions... I believe the team with fewest mistakes, wins! Both teams deserve equally to be here at this spot in the season, no matter the outcome; job well done!
BadSanta... I think it would not matter what any Carthage person posted; we are "that" team for you! You know everyone has a team they love to hate! Or similar to the way LSU fans hate Nick Saban. But it's okay... We will love you through it! That's just the kind of folks we are! ;)

Carthage has average middle class people? So what does Silsbee have below average poor people? GTFOHWTBS. Carthage has the most stuck up $30,000 millionaires in Texas just like Dallas. You claim to be blue collar but most are white collar. I'm OK with you rooting for your team but trust me no one in SETX gives a rats ass about your indoor practice facility. Do you adults go play 2 hand touch in there after work? SETX has many state championships. Maybe we get one or two more this year but I can promise you none of our fans are as much of a D Bag as you guys are.
LMAO!!! You have revealed some of deepest darkest secrets, this past week. We closet millionaires recruit our mediocre at best, players. Who knows how we have made it to the playoffs, these past several years. And you are right, we have our own league, with a draft and everything of "powder puff" football. We have games several times a week; after work. One correction though, we like to play in the stadium so we can watch ourselves on the JumboTron, Surratt doesn't have one of those in the indoor facility for some reason. We need to work on that.

I have no issue at all with a Carthage fan claiming they will win Friday night. I am ok with Carthage fan stating they will win by 7-10 points. It's the ones stating Carthage will blow out Silsbee and the Tigers don't belong on the same field as the Bulldogs that I take issue with.
Like I have said before, have no problem with confidence in your team. I love it. Just don't like it when that confidence is over the top which comes off as very arrogant.
No denying the history of Carthage football. Much much better than Silsbee and that has been proven on the field the last two times these teams have met. I just think it's not that relevant in this particular game.
This is the best Silsbee offense I have ever seen (been watching Silsbee football since 1971). I like the Tigers chances in winning this game.
Carthage is the favorite, just not the overwhelming favorite that some are stating.
Now, I do ask this with extreme caution... Are you sure it was a Carthage fan stating Silsbee did not belong on the same field as Carthage and Carthage by a huge amount or others trolling? Im not saying either way... Im just asking...

This is Crazy Town!!!! If Silsbee was playing Navasota this week instead of Carthage, all you Silsbee fans would have the same opinion of your team. And you would all think Silsbee would come out victorious at the end of the game. Why is it so wrong for Carthage fans to believe or state their beliefs? Is it because Carthage is playing Silsbee they should have no opinion of the game? Or you don't want to hear that Carthage fans believe in their coaches and the players?
People come on here and make crazy statements about Carthage and the people who live there. I made a statement about we vote yes on bond issues, that went into a whole discussion about the indoor facility. The last time we played y'all people were on this board making comments about how many coaches we have???? About the buses the kids travel on???? So on and so forth... REALLY!!!! So many caddy comments that are not necessary. On Friday night, when you look across the field, you will see, stands full of your average hard working middle class families. People who work hard day in and day out to provide for their families. Our property taxes are capped in Panola County, they have been increased to the max. We vote yes on bonds, to keep our tax dollars in our school district for our kids. Call me crazy, but when you read comments and see what people say... It doesn't appear you are disgruntled about the contents of the book but about the cover; the window dressing. However, if you actually come right out say what really irritates you about Carthage then you appear to be pea green. And no, it is not arrogance or being cocky for Carthage to be proud of what they have voted on to provide for CISD. Every school district in the state has the opportunity to do exactly what we have done.

As for whoever is letting Silsbee practice at their facility, what a nice gesture. Carthage allows other schools to come use the football field and the indoor facility every week when they are not using it. One team comes every day. I don't see what the big deal is that another school might would offer Silsbee their indoor facility if needed.

But seriously this thread is out of control... Carthage fans declaring victory before the coin toss! Baising it off history. Stating our coaching staff is superior. Blah blah blah...
Then Silsbee fans calling out Carthage & asking crazy questions like do we still recruit athletes & give their parents jobs!!! Seriously!!! That is just poor sportsmanship.
I assume the majority of you posting are leveled headed adults; why can't you see the bigger picture? Both teams have 14-18 year old kids that have been working their butts off since August to get here. Anything can happen, anyone can win or get beat at this stage. Give glory to God each team is still playing, hope neither team leaves with anyone hurt, and every one has safe travels to & from the game. May each team play to the best of their ability & leave it all out there on the field.
Do not stereotype Carthage fans from a small sample group that post on a couple of message boards. This is what you need to know... We will travel near & far to back the Bulldogs. We can disagree with some of Suratt's play calling but no one else better. We are very respectful of who we are playing. We even respect Henderson & Kilgore even though we don't like them!!! (I'm kidding, I'm only kidding!!!) We vote YES, on EVERY bond; let me say this again; we vote YES, when it comes to bonds & our schools; it is just something we do! So when a person makes a statement like we are completely wrapped up in high school football; I'm not sure where that information is coming from... We are completely wrapped up in our kids; the kids of Panola County & CISD and making it the best place we can for them to go to school. I guess that makes us passionate about our kids. Get to know us; we really are nice folks from a small rural East Texas Town.

Carthage has a very good QB in Jarrod Blissett. Saw he was FORD PLAYER Of the Week. Silsbee also has a good QB!! Where did the QB for 2013 go to college for Carthage and the RB Pippkin?

YES! 100% Y-E-S... YES!!! It is the norm in NorthEast Texas! Recruit players; give their parents great jobs! We call it.. "Keeping up with Jones'" Survival plain & simple! Look what you have all in about 60 mile radius... Carthage, Gilmer, Kilgore, Chapel Hill, Henderson, Tatum, Waskom, Tenaha, so on & so forth all State Champions in the past several years or so some multiple! Not to mention, Marshall & Longview. So we head across the state line & get kids from Shreveport & bus them over everyday! Sssshhh! Don't tell anyone! We recruit those Louisiana boys better than LSU!!!
I did find humor in your question! No kind sir we do not recruit! Northeast Texas is very fortunate to be rich with talent and have numerous programs in all classifications with top notch programs! Thanks for inquiring!

Austin Morgan - his mom is Jenny Morgan - he is a GREAT kid... Will be just like Anthony!!! Will Start on Varsity the next three years!!! Mike is one of the BEST all around guys/coaches EVER!!!
