Well our girls came home with a nice trophy from the Baytown Christian Tournament and we are continuing to gel with some new pieces on the varsity.  The JV (which did not win a game last season) is undefeated so far this year.  Hoping for a good night in Spurger!

Last year was our first year for JV and Freshmen volleyball and we didnt win a game. This year we start it off right with our first JV win!!!! Second set - Bob Hope JV 25 High Island JV 10!!!!

Very excited for this one. We have some youth getting some playing time, with a couple of sophomores getting action.  We had a pretty tough scrimmage run, playing Port Arthur Memorial, Beaumont Central, Vidor, Orangefield, Deweyville, and Legacy. Hoping to start the year off with a good win!

Nope. Brenham's best pitcher was Jozwiak who started last night. They still have Wellman, who came in relief last night, and Acker.

With the weather the way it's looking for Friday, PNG is in the drivers seat. SOLID win tonight against Brenham's ace. There's no two ways about it, tonight the Indians were the best team on the field.

Yeah same here, Huntsville is too far to drive, plus we have graduation Friday night. I'll have to keep up with it online. My only concern about the Tomball games is how close they were. Brenham played them close the first time, but once they figured out Tomball, they blew them out in game two. I really think PNG needs to come out and make a statement tonight if they are going to compete in this series.

I think they match up well. I believe Brenham has the better pitching and a bit more depth. It's hard for me to choose since one is my current home and the other is my hometown, but if I am picking with my head, I say Brenham in 2. The reality is though, whoever wins Game 1 should take the series. I'm assuming Brenham will pitch Acker tonight, and save teh aces. If they beat PNG without their aces, its series over. If PNG comes out tonight and pounds Brenham like Crosby did in game 1, the Indians will make a series out of it.
