20 minutes left in the first half - Palestine 0 Bob Hope 0. Our boys are finally playing up. Lets just hope we can hold it. Palestine is living up to the state championship hype for sure.

Our girls picked up their first district win 3-2 in double OT. From what I hear our boys are in tough right now, down 3-1.

This should be a good matchup down in Winnie tonight. The boys are rolling into this one with their first ever UIL district win over Hamshire Fannett on Friday, a 6th place ranking in the region for Maxpreps, and 8th place in the region for TASCO. The girls are hoping to get back on track after dropping their first district game to a very strong Hamshire Fannett girls team.

Bob Hope will have middle school soccer this year, but since we are short staffed we are waiting until the end of varsity's season to start it.

We were 1-19 two years ago. Nick will probably be a first team pick this year. Chris probably second (and he's only a sophomore!). We have been fairly close with Hardin and Kirbyville. Just because we aren't looking great record wise, this team has done more than any other team we've had. We are developing. Next year will be even better.

Good game. Nederland is always tough. Prior to our game we saw their varsity beat Beaumont Central 16-0!!!! We had a couple of really good chances to put this one away but couldn't convert, but any time you can walk out of a Nederland game without a loss, that's a win:)

Well the game is tonight, Monday, January 30th at 6:30 at University of Louisiana Lafayette. These guys are the best of the best. Ranked #1 for years now, and they've won the Louisiana state soccer championship four years in a row. Our whole school is excited for this game, we sold out two fan buses in 20 minutes for this one. We are expecting that St. Pauls will be bringing a pretty big crowd too. We have had numerous colleges call us to let us know they will be attending to scout. Such an exciting feeling. We are the smallest team in the state of Texas to compete in the UIL for soccer, playing the best team in the nation. Even if we walk out losing 10-0, just the experience of this game will be in these kids memories for a lifetime. This should be fun!

It was. The difference was clear, our girls were on a three game winning streak and had tied Livingston, tied Memorial, beaten Anahuac, beaten Liberty.......but Jasper is just out of this world good. It's going to take someone special to beat this bunch.

Bob Hope Lady Eagles 8 Anahuac 1. Jackie Cardenas had a hat trick for the third game in a row. Bianca Anaya also had a hat trick. Cynthia Ochoa and Esme Cruz scored the remaining two. The girls play #1 Jasper on Friday. Bob Hope Eagles 6 Anahuac 1. Juan Hernandez had 2 goals, Enry Reyes, Omar Aguilar, Ricky Perez, and Luis Preciado all had one. The boys play #1 in the nation St. Pauls on Monday at University of Louisiana Lafayette.

Bob Hope Boys Soccer picked up a big win tonight as well with a 3-1 win over Liberty. On the boys side Enry Reyes had a hat trick, on the girls side, Jackie Cardenas did the same. Cardenas also had a hat trick against Anahuac on Saturday. 6 goals in two games!

After beating Anahuac 8-0 on Saturday, the Bob Hope Lady Eagles turned in another dominant performance tonight beating Liberty 5-0!

Varsity girls at 4pm Varsity boys at 6pm I dont know much about the Liberty girls, but I know their boys are battle tested. We had a good battle with them last year and had to come from behind to win. I suspect they will be making a deep playoff run again, so this should be a good test. Our girls have been on a roll as of late, tying Livingston 1-1 and beating Anahuac 8-0. Hopefully we can keep that rolling!

HJ looked pretty good. They have a tall girl who has some wheels. Their goalie is also very good. We had quite a few shots and couldn't connect. She had one phenomenal save in the first half.
