Teams with winning traditions take losses with grace, PNG does the same when the dogs win. Honestly though if we have to share a DC sharing with anyone else wouldn’t feel right. Iv got to many PNG friends to feel anyother way, the true bulldog nation will back this up.

Always excited to get this win! We’ll celebrate this tonight and accept the trophy next week...I guess. But once the NDNs and Bulldogs hit the practice field on Monday, I’ll be pulling for our friends and brothers in black and gold. Time for MC to make some noise in the playoffs!!!

Another CO DC, number 6 for Nederland this decade, no other team id rather share it with than PNG.

Nederland (9-0, 6-0) at Port Neches-Groves (6-3, 5-1): 
It’s Mid-County Madness and if it wasn’t already a huge game in the Golden Triangle, let’s add in the fact that it’s for the 12-5A Division II district title as well. Bottom line is, this game is must-see television year in and year out and it’s likely to deliver once again. Unbeaten Nederland rolled past Crosby 45-22 as QB Blaysin Fernandez threw for four touchdowns and ran for another touchdown all in the first half as he sat out the second half with the Bulldogs holding a comfortable lead.
Port Neches-Groves didn’t show any ill-effects from losing a game off the field with a forfeit as the Indians knocked off Barbers Hill 31-14 as QB Roschon Johnson accounted for 443 total yards and four total touchdowns in the win. The real key for PNG in this one was the Indians' defense, which played maybe their best game of the season. If that unit continues to play well, there’s no doubt Port Neches-Groves can play with just about anyone in Region III. A year ago, unbeaten PNG went into Nederland as a favorite and left with a heartbreaking last-second loss. The roles are a bit reversed this year as unbeaten Nederland looks to be a slight favorite and the game is in Port Neches. Could history repeat itself this year? My pick is yes, this time PNG gets a bit of revenge and knocks off Nederland to earn the district crown.

No trophy presentation????....WTH. That isn't going to prevent either teams fans from rushing the field after the game.
The team that wins should celebrate on the field. Don't let the absence of the trophy stop it. The trophy hasn't been around that long, the teams have celebrated way before it was labeled the Bum Phillips Bowl.
 
And no streamers?????? That rule will be broken by both student sections.

that is a bunch of crap,those idiots are taking all the fun from kids,was told no streamers none of the stuff the kids do every year can be brought into the stadium this year,its all a bunch of crap...wonder if eventually you wont be able to scream due to safety as well!if you don't like it all stay at home and listen on radio!!

Hoping for a Nederland and png rematch in the fourth round,now that would be a wild game,,what would it be called lol!!!

Everyone keeps saying this is RJs last home game. PNG will host a 1st round playoff game next week. That will be the last home game?

Upfront Big game ! Congrats to both teams , overcame a lot of adversity to get here !  Great job by  coaching staffs who give much to the Mid County community they serve . Probably another classic but I have to go with my Dogs by 7 . Edge on defense , but home field ??? I’m not sure anyone can get a home field  advantage in this one ! Hoping for good weather no injuries ! This is what high school football is all about , great  communities, great BANDS , great FANS, great DRILLTEAMS , great CHEERLEADERS & GREAT TEAMS !    Let the Madness begin .
