  1. And if they did, USC would still be in the Top 10 of the BCS rankings. :-[ :-[ :-[
  2. If Central doesn't turn the ball over, they should easily beat Ozen. Ozen is far less disciplined than Central.
  3. I hope you're refering to Saban. If you look his statement, he says that the game against LCM was close because, A) WOS was young, and it was on a wet field. These are excuses. I can guarantee you that Hooks and Thompson won't allow their players to make these excuses because that goes against the mindset that these two coaches have been instilling into their teams for years. You have to give credit where credit is due. The game being close had a lot to do with the tremendous effort of the LCM defense as well as the WOS defense. The game is what it was. An exciting game played by two teams both who played their hearts out. One team won and one team lost. Hopefully both teams were able to take away something from the game that they can build upon not only in football but in life.
  4. Congradulations to WOS on their victory! They did indeed win the game. However...... LCM's offense did play on the same field as WOS, didn't they? This whining is like complaining that your side of the net is higher than the other guy's on a tennis court.
  5. So you're saying that those kids in Williamsport at the Little League World Series (the granddaddy of all youth sports experiences) who are missing their junior high football practices are wrong for being there? I'm sure the Whitehouse baseball coach is happy with their decision.
  6. For speed and excitement, and possibly for the district championship: Dayton and Central. For tradition: PNG and Nederland. Also for the opportunity to see how much time PNG's superman spends in Nederland's backfield.
  7. So Dayton and LCM have a chance to get a leg up on the rest of the district???
  8. That coach needs to learn that his center of the universe isn't necessarily everyone elses. If those players worked as hard as the coach says they did then there shouldn't be a problem getting up to speed when they return. I don't have a problem with him making them earn their positions back, that's a consequence of their decision, but its pretty cold of the coach to be critical of the opportunity that they had in front of them.
  9. Great post!!! Couldn't be said any better than this!
  10. Were they on Varsity or JV last year? Can they leap tall buildings in a single bound? What position does Clark Kent play?
  11. Depends on your perspective. If your team fell for it, its Chicken Crap. If your team pulled it off, its the stuff legends are made of.
