They have widened Hwy 69 to 4 lanes which has helped a ton with traffic.  There are a bunch of new subdivisions out there that are just being built up.  Most of the population is young, so it will take a few years for the numbers to show up in high school.

[/quote] It cost a lot of money and takes a whole lot of time to host a World Series.  The host team is responsible for all of the expenses for the tourney.  Weather is also a problem for us this time of year.  If we would have hosted the Regional this year we would just now be able to play with all of the rain. The World Series will be played in Weimar, but all of the surrounding cities are involved, so it is more than 2,000 people.

They lost to Brazoswood the first game and won this morning.  Not sure who they played.

[/quote] Yes, they are generally really good.  They were supposed to play a tourney at Lamar this weekend, but it got washed.  We still have to win 1 more before we can worry about them though.
