In a sport where subjective rankings are still play a huge part, conference strength matters a great deal. I don't get how you can't understand that. The NFL has power rankings each week that no one cares about. That's because they have a true playoff and rankings are worthless. This is not the case with the NCAA. I was rooting for Texas in that game btw.

I've been to most of the Big 12 stadiums and I'm working my way through the SEC. Ole Miss, LSU, and Miss St done so far, Vandy next year. There is no comparison to the fans and hospitality that is show to visiting fans at SEC games. Minus a few drunk Cajuns the SEC fans are great. You ever been in a bad relationship then end it and realize how great other women can be? That's pretty much how it is.

I don't think he's lost his passion at Frisco as much as they just got tired of him. From all reports he is pretty much a jerk to work for. That works better in college where the players are gone every few years. High paid pro athletes don't think they have to put up with that.

Smith scored 21 in the overtime victory tonight. He also took 21 shots and only made 9. Harden scored 32 on 17 shots. I didn't watch the game, but I don't think its good for Houston for him to be leading the team in shots.

Yeah true. It just kinda diminishes the play some that they didn't win the game. The score was 34-0 in the 4th quarter. You would think they would be comfortable going to OT unless the team was just gassed.
