From what I've read it was cheaper for ESPN to pay Texas and keep their contracts the same with every conference. If Texas left and the Big 12 was blown up to make Superconferences, ESPN would be having to up their bids on all new TV deals. They came out cheaper paying Texas to keep the conference together.

SEC Now. That is a show where they actually talk about sports. Lhn is one channel away and it flipped when I grabbed the remote. Personally I love the LHN and what's it's done for Texas. I hope ESPN decides to keep it forever even though it's hemorrhaging money.

I couldn't really figure it out. I didn't watch long enough to see if one of the guys in the orchestra was on the football team or something.

I was just watching the SEC Network and accidentally turned the channel to LHN. They have some quality programming on right now. Currently on is "Lost and Nameless Orchestra," up next is "Kristy Lee a Southern Original." Now I see why no one watches this crap.

How did that work out for them last year?

Baylor and TCU will probably stay at the top for most of the season with those brutal schedules they play ranked 88th and 93rd respectively.

A&M is 27th and Texas is 38th for those wondering. Why do you say Arkansas is too low? Let them earn it first. Week 4 could be a big game if A&M can get past Arizona State, both teams should be unbeaten. I just wish it wasn't at JerryWorld.

I have some friends that are going to ND-Texas this year. That should be a good time. At least until the game starts.

I cheer for all of the local teams come playoff time. Nederland grad so they are my team that I follow. Nederland- All sports A&M- All sports Cowboys, Rockets, and Astros in the pros I will root for other teams like the Texans, but it's no big deal to me if they lose. I usually just hope to see good,close games and I like to see upsets and chaos in the college polls. Buddy and I are pretty good at starting upset threads every Saturday during the season. If Nederland, A&M, or the Cowboys lose, I'm not in a good mood. Other teams, I could care less. I root for the Giants, Eagles, and Redskins to lose every game. I root for the SEC teams to win non conference and the top SEC teams to stay unbeaten until they play A&M. With the system in place in college football the only way to stay ranked at the top is to beat the best teams. Schedule doesn't matter in the NFL, but it does in College. Just ask Baylor and TCU. I also root for my fantasy guys to do put up numbers. That makes it tough when they are playing Dallas. I'm still pissed at Andrew Luck for bombing week 15 last year and costing me $1000 in my Super Bowl. I may not even draft him again this year.
