Looks like there is a little bit of intrigue on this one!

This is the hidden content, please

    there is no protest

    there was no gentleman's agreement.

and there was no confusion. we flipped lcm vs jasper (with understanding if jasper won the flip they could still use Lamar as their home field if decided to)

innacurrate and irresponsible jounalism. there should be a law against it.

  5.  Southeast Texas Beast 14U will hold tryouts Sunday, September 13 at 4pm at the LCM High School field.

The team will be coached by Jake Mendiola. Coach Mendiola played collegiately with the University of South Carolina-Sumter and Texas A&M-Kingsville, where he was named First Team All-Conference Catcher in the Lone Star Conference. Professionally he played with the Amarillo Sox and the Rio Grande Valley White Wings in the Independent Leagues. He will bring excitement and a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the game to the players this year.

We will practice during the Fall and will play Spring tournaments primarily in the Beaumont/Lake Charles area. Practices will be in Orange.

For more information, please contact Jake Mendiola at (803) 409-8010.

  6. This team is coached by LCM Baseball Coach Steve Griffith and Brandon Landry (former wos shortstop) and his son Brandon Landry (former lcm shortstop).

If interested in trying out for this team, please contact our coaches at either of these numbers. 409 988-5961 or 409 330-0758 and we will organize a group workout.

Our dues are not expensive, we do not pay our coaches, we practice twice a week on non tourney weeks and once on competition week, we bat all 10 or 11 on saturday and sunday, we usually play every other weekend starting mid feb, we finish early june unless group decides to make team trip this year, and we have had lots of success in our first two seasons as 10 and 11 year olds.

  7. LCM Jasper Vidor Westbrook and several others looking for any dry field to play on tonight and/or tomorrow.  It could be a profitable day if you happen to have one.  I will speak for myself only on this but we will play anybody anywhere tonight and then again tomorrow if you want (even two more tomorrow if you want).  If you have dry field and are on the road and cant play?, we will bring our own opponent(s). Just leave us a key and we will pay your fee.  We have posted on thsbca website. I emailed 277 head coaches that were on a an email list I found.  [email protected]

  8. Our respective tournament brackets in north Texas were being cut to two games or cancelled altogether. The three of us are no longer going north and are throwing together a Friday, Saturday (possibly even a late Thursday, Friday, Saturday) Tournament at LCM.  We are going to get our four games in down here rather than travel up there to play two in the snow. If any teams down here are in a similar situation shoot me an email and we will see if we can include you in our event. We would like to find one more team if possible.

  9. LCM opponent from Bryan that we were meeting halfway in Cleveland has cancelled on us for Monday Feb. 23rd.  We would still like to play if by chance anybody:

    1) does not have a game already on opening day

    2) rains out and wants to salvage the playing date by us pulling our tarp Monday and playing here

or 3) already has a game at home but would like to add another before it or after it.
