Silsbee by 22 but it will be closer than the score indicates.

I think it will be a lot like the the game HF played against Randall.  The Horns got off to a slow start but came back and it was 57 - 49 going into the 4th.  Then Randall pulled away.  I suspect this game will play out pretty much like that one did, with or without the slow start. HF will be put on the position of playing catch up late and that's a tough thing against a quality team.

A lot depends on which Hamshire Fannett team shows up.  Will it be the one that played well against the No. 3 team in the state or will it be the one that beat 4th seed Vidor by only 12?

Just FYI:  Consider what Randall done so far, hammering it's first two opponents by 69 then 71.  Those are the widest spreads of anybody in 4A.  It kind of puts HF's mere 21 pt loss into perspective.

Silsbee played and beat Randall at the TABC in Dallas after the 7on7 game in college station

Lol... I thought the kid was from a "great family" and "raised to be a well-mannered young man" but the daddy wants my number?

    You're not helping your cause.

These kids embraced a thuggish lifestyle and manner of behavior, as evidenced by the self-gloss "Smoketown." The fact that Silsbee gets in scraps every sport a few times a year happens because people are so jealous, according to Tiger fans. And when WOS gets in scraps it's only because they're playing Silsbee..:. Despite the fact that WOS is collecting more SCs than Silsbee.

The kids who thug out today are the children of Tigers that didn't know how to control themselves, either.

I still believe that the new AD and administration are both trying hard to fix the obvious culture problem over there. It's going to be an uphill fight with all of the parents over there, though. It's hard to convince a kid that their behavior is bad when their own parents don't have a problem with all of the garbage that accompanies some pretty good play.

Lol, thanks and sorry tiger nation! Congrats on your state championship! Sorry cardinalbacker didn't mean to bring anybody in on this I shouldn't have mention anything about anybody wanting your #! These people can't defend themselves especially if they don't entertain it!

That's weird... I was in the visitor's stands at Silsbee vs. WOS back earlier this this fall when somebody wearing a maroon "Jones's Mom" T-shirt was trying to fight the whole crowd from Silsbee.  That's not one of my usual made-up stories, it really happened.

Like I said... it's amazing how some schools manage to get in fights, through no fault of their own, with every single team they face.  It's about coaching, parents, and discipline.... or lack thereof.

We've had our share of problems in BC.... Players getting ejected for punching people, brawling with Orangefield at the last ever Bayou Bowl, etc...  I hope that the teams we face are noticing that there's been a not-so-subtle change in culture on the bayou.  It starts at the top.

FWIW, I think the new Silsbee football coach has his team heading in the right direction as well.  He's taking a hard line against players that can't control themselves, and it will show up.  Now it's up to the rest of the ISD to get with the program.

If you don't know what your talking about you need not comment about people parents, Mrs. Jones wasn't trying to fight anyone she was getting her kids from some grown up using profanity  toward them, now you're crossing the line because if Jones father was to read this I would think he would try and find out who you are and I know that for a fact! You just saw Jones and ran with it get your fact straight before you  mention  someone's name jack! Leave your number and I'll make sure he gets it.

For one you don't know me for two I have a Dam.. son on team so don't tell me I'm being negative the comment wasn't for you so stay in your lane......

I know that right, protect your kid! Don't know why everybody has it in for Silsbee kids. Most of the altercations where started by the other teams! 95% of Silsbee, WOS, LCM and every other school have well mannered kids but it's unfortunate that 5% make it bad for all the kids and the grown ups start labeling children or Silsbee or  Communities!

    Yep just heard the same

Hopefully you guys get the correct information! Yes it was a altercations when Silsbee was walking to the podium to receive their gold medals the kids where talking about football and who's going where but the one kid was upset and was a sore loser and took a swing at Jones when Jones had his back turned! Jones family is very upset with the altercation and is more upset that the Silsbee kids are being labeled as trouble makers. Willie Jones III comes from a great family and has always been a well  mannered young man, wanted to  retaliate and who wouldn't when someone takes a sucker punch when your back is turned but he took one for the team and let the appropriate people handle the unfortunate altercation!

They were mixing it up with the kids from WOS after the 4x400 at the area meet. Verbal only, but n-words and curses for all. Not implying that either school was worse than the other.

Fact check, it was a WOS student at the track meet trying to pick a fight the kid is a known troublemakers, he doesn't play any sports and was looking for trouble!

I would guess that I attend about as many games in Silsbee as AAW which is probably too many. I see many people at every game that I attend so I would guess they see a lot more than I do or AAW. I did not see the incident at LCM.  I do feel that some of the problem stems from other district teams playing inferior ball to what Silsbee plays and they attempt to equalize the situation by poking the Tiger. The SHS team should be smart enough to not react to the pokes but apparently they are not that smart.

The deal that really bothered me was the fight at Jasper. There was no reason for that in the world. The kids on the floor were having a great time. Jasper got beat badly but the fight had nothing to do with the two basketball teams. I had my 90 year old dad at the game at it took me a while to get out of the gym. We were a short ways behind the team.

Some Jasper fans had been heckling the players from behind the bench.

Coach Sigler and Officer Montavlo walked to get the bus. The assistant coaches were supposed to wait with the players. For some reason they decided to follow Montavlo and Sigler to the bus. The team was walking basically in single file to the bus when they were attacked not by the players from the other team but the fans.

There were virtually no school officials at Jasper that evening. As I was helping my dad to the car one of them said We better not go any further. I left my dad and wife and walked to the car and brought it back to the door to pick them up.

As the UIL hearing the executive council noted that they were aware of the incident Still nothing was done. Jasper received no probation. As far as I know there were no charges filed.

If I were king..... and I'm not.... there there would be stronger rules. If you start a fight you out for the remainder of the year. If you react instead of walking away then you miss the remainder of the season.

These rulings usually are not fair. When you look at it LCM received basically no punishment for their part in the fight. As I was told they threw the first punches. They had to forfeit a game but it was a game they were behind by nearly 20 points. They had a player or two sit out one game. If I remember right it was against one of the weaker teams in the district.

Silsbee is different in all the right places, and way different in one area for sure, compared to last years game.

Still, it is a district game and its baseball.  Anything can happen but it wont be like last year.

    4-3 Silsbee

In what places is Silsbee different that make it right? Haven't seen them this year.
