Lady Cougars beat the Wildcats by 30. I think the score was 53-20. Great job ladies!

Congratulations to Coach Williams and his staff. They don’t get near enough recognition for the job they do.

This game was much closer than I thought it would be. Did Center have all of their top players?

Pretty quiet in Wildcat land. Heard Kountze beat them 3-0 in the scrimmage last night. If this is true, it is going to be a long night against Newton. I looked at the weather today and it doesn’t look like a hurricane is going to save the Wildcats this year.

Shout out to the Lady Cougars who are 19-2 and have outscored their opponents 190-11. If they stay focused, the sky is the limit!

Lady Cougars improve to 5-0 and have yet to allow a run in district. Keep it going against Kirbyville Friday night.

Buna has all the makings of a state championship team (pitching, hitting and fielding). You heard it here first.

EC wins by 13

Kountze wins by 10

Corruption? They don’t renew a lot of people’s contract and you just happen to be one of them. Happens all the time , explains why you troll and hate on Kirbyville so much.
Nice try...don’t quit your day job!

Sounds like someone is bitter with the school board ? Sounds like you used to work for Kirbyville? Within a hop, step and a jump from the high school I presume. So tell us how is Buna treating you down there?
Or is it somebody who actually has their eyes open to the corruption there?

Thats not completely accurate. Theres more to that story and im currently glad they have that much power right now in Kirbyville.
Oh yes it is. Board members made phone calls to Newton coaches. Btw, their “power” started when Hazlewood was there. Was it okay then?

At least Kirbyville stepped up to play them. I suppose Newton is scared of Buna?
Correction....At least the all powerful school board stepped up. The acting AD at the time did not want to play Newton and put the new AD in a bind. I have never heard of a school board with this much power.

Buna is horrible
Newton is awful
Warren is horrible
Hopefully the Newton beat down of Kirbyville occurs on the beautiful field at Kirbyville. Luckily BOARD MEMBERS, since they run the show in Cat town, wanted to continue this one-sided rivalry.

Buna....all I need to say is cinder track. Gym and baseball field are nice, but the football field is the worst in the area.

Pressure him? He resigned the day Wallis took office. Couldn’t have been to much pressure
Believe whatever you want. Wallis was in town for a long time before he officially took the job. I think he was living with a board member... He had plenty of opportunities to talk to Coach Neece.

I think Coach Bennett is safe.
Time will tell. As we’ve seen with Kirbyville, all it takes is 1 or 2 disgruntled board members to start a wildfire. Coach Neece probably didn’t think the Supt would pressure him either....

Former assistant at Pleasant Grove, Kirbyville and, most recently, West Orange-Stark. Impressive football coach, even better baseball coach.
It will be interesting to see if this hire affects the current baseball coach. Kind of awkward that he applied for the job also.

Not a newsworthy topic...

Yes, Kountze is definitely down this year. Losing their post to an injury really hurt them.

I don’t find anything classy by winning by 94. What comes around goes around
Interesting comment. I think I remember Kirbyville football hanging several 50+ point victories over the last 10 years. But, you are right, it looks like it has already started to catch up with the Wildcats. I bet Newton is praying for no hurricanes this year...

Awful officiating
Captain obvious! The state of officiating has declined tremendously over the last few years. I haven’t seen one game this year where the officiating has been consistent. Excessive contact is the norm and allowed on a nightly basis. With that being said, it probably didn’t account for the 16 point loss.
