HJ has scored 38 pts in 10 years combined against WOS...  I'm not saying you can't do it but you gotta prove yourself to get any credibility.  I have yet to hear what is SO dramatically improved this year to make me think you will win.  We've beaten the spread against every common opponent we've played last year and this year except for LCM. Good luck!

To compare HJ this year to anything they've done in the past 10 years just doesn't show any knowledge of anything going on in our football program at all. Forget about any competition between the schools...if we are all football fans here, and I believe we are, can we be happy that HJ has a competitive program after looking at the scores over the last 10 years?!? So, no matter what the outcome of the game this week (and make no mistake, I think HJ is coming out on top! lol), for anyone to post anything about HJ's performance in their past 10 years of football and compare it to this year of football is kind of sad. It's going to be a FUN week. Let's enjoy it! WOS has an amazing history of having a great football and athletic program. My son and our family have many friends out there. As a HUGE football family, no matter which team comes out on top this week, PLEASE celebrate with HJ as our district comes together to grow, build, and support our football program for the first time in many, many years. If not for programs like WOS, we wouldn't have teams to DRIVE us to become better!! So, that said...it's ON like DONKEY KONG!! (: See you on the field this week! (: May God keep ALL of our boys safe and healthy this week!

Congratulations to Wos and PNG G. Should be a great Superbowl

What division did these two teams play in?  Oh yeah that's right..... ;). Good luck next week to both teams you both deserve it.

I'm confused. So, PNG won by 5 points in a great game, & it's because of the division they were in? I have a LOT to learn about football, I guess...

You work with what talent you have.  HJ is not that deep in talent.  From what I hear they have a few Freshman playing on Varsity.  Tough when 14 year olds are playing against 17-18 year olds.
I think HJ has a lot of athletic talent in every sport.  As far as 14 year olds playing 17 & 18 year olds, I completely agree that you are right.  No matter the age though, talent they have. Experience will come.  :) The true test will be if this young group is the same in a few years, and the coaches are the same. We've seen what this group of younger kids is capable of, so, it'll be interesting to see what's done with them.

He wasn't blaming it on the freshmen...he was saying that HJ is fairly young this year and the bottom line is that 14 year olds are rarely going to line up and beat 17-18 year olds in football
Love ya, Lazeek, but that was def a better way to say what you were trying to say. ;)  (I get a little protective of some of those kids that I helped raise!)

My kids have played in this league for several years and both have had the experience of playing in a Super Bowl.  I seriously can't recall a weekend with better games than this Saturday in Lumberton.  If you love youth football like I do bring a chair and enjoy the whole day from game 1 to the very last game.  Looking forward to a great weekend.

Have a benefit golf tournament for my niece early in the day (www.helpchelc.com), but I'm gonna TRY to show up for that LUMB WH SR v. BC game.  ;)  Sad to miss the rest of the games though! Gonna be a good day. Be good, boys (& by that I mean, dads, of course!).  ;)

;)Mymuck I have already told you all there is no reason to say I am whining. I am just speaking the truth. Did you let every team in your league know they could recruit from larger schools to fill their 7th grade spots? Spoke with some of my buddies around town and most were clueless? Hey, don't stop there because your Jr. League has Lumberton kids playing in that too! So how can you only say its about our 7th graders we don't allow to play in STJFL when you do it in the Jrs. too! Wow! Now what? You should have just joined us!
Trash, you may be the biggest idiot & coward on these boards in the history of the boards!!  At least, the rest of us are "man" enough to let everyone know who we are!  You have accused my family (my 10 yr old son!) of so many things that are complete lies! First, using an "old address" in Sour Lake to play at HJ. Completely, untrue. Second, of borrowing a friend's report card & using white out on the name to falsify the document. We used our utility bill from our current home in Sour Lake to register because I couldn't even find his report card from last year which is what we would have used anyway since current ones still haven't even been issued this school year, you genius! Third, being a "Lumberton kid" playing at HJ.
Let me make one thing clear to you for one final time. I think you may be too cowardly & STUPID to "get" it, but I'm gonna give it one final try anyway. When certifications for football came around, my son was registered at HJ & not at Lumberton & had never attended a Lumberton school in his life until the 4th day of school in Lumberton this year (LONG after certifications had passed!). This really makes him a "Lumberton kid recruited by HJ" to deceive everyone so we can win a YOUTH FBALL GAME??  Even if it did, it wouldn't matter since this is my son's 6th year to play for HJ with Lonestar &, therefore, he is grandfathered from boundaries. I didn't even realize this until you started spouting off all of your crazy lies & accusations & your good friend, "CLYDE" (whose real name is CLAUDE, by the way) that you mentioned showing a LISD annual to, called me while I was working at the business I have owned for the past 13 years in Sour Lake to tell me about the grandfather clause.  I've already told you this in the other thread yet you INSIST on bringing my 10 year old son into your comments. LEAVE HIM OUT OF YOUR THREADS. You know you are lying, yet you continue to comment about him & hide behind your annonymous name on here.  It takes a REAL MAN to pick on a 10 year old. Leave my son out of your comments, you big, lying bully!
I think you KNOW what you are doing. It has been pointed out to you WAY too many times by WAY too many people how wrong you are in all instances & you continue to attack these innocent boys that just want to play ball. I think there has to be more to this story than you are letting on here. Did your mother not love you enough? Were you not good enough to make YOUR youth football team? Did you secretly want to be on the cheer squad instead?  It's not fun to be picked on. Leave our kids alone!!!

Well... who was it and what was the score?
WOS and Silsbee. WOS won
It was not that close.  It was not a battle of two competitive teams.  This year Lonestar may have more talent in the Jr Division.  I know that in the past Deweyville SRs have been able to beat the STJFL champions, but as a general rule (evidence by last year's Jr game in Silsbee), the STJFL teams are stonger.
I know I'm a "girl" (read MOM) but comparing Lonestar Jr teams against STJFL Jr teams is just crazy. The weight limits are so completely different that the two are not comparable. So, you think that STJFL 120 lb 10 year olds can out block our 85 lb 10 year olds??? Really? Wow. No kidding. I would hope so (i.e. WOS v. Silsbee Maroon post season game last year). Now, our 120 lb 10 yr olds in Lonestar have to play on our Sr teams. So, if you wanna compare our Sr team to your Jr teams, that may be a more fair comparison. You can't compare apples to oranges. None of it makes any sense.  In Lonestar, Jr. Division is 8 & 9 with very few 10 year olds because they have to weigh 85 or under. STJFL Jr. teams are 9 & 10 year olds.  I would hope most STJFL Jr. teams are stronger. I mean, if you are gonna compare them, why not compare the 7 year old tackle team to our 7 year old flag team & see who you think would come out on top of THAT game!! lol  Y'all are such MEN! ;) ;) I know...I should stay off the site...I do try, but y'all keep DRAGGING me in!! !!  ;)

Hey everyone so I see the rumors are very correct! And yes Ms. Hj Rocks your son is very talented but attends school at Lumberton! Like I said before all nonsense removed the other team who may fall short against the HJ Hawks but they are playing with kids not from their area.  Recruited ones! Like I said I can go all the way down the the flag team if u know what I mean???????  Check your surroundings there is always someone in the midst that may not agree with what you all are doing and might feel it is time to expose it. Nothing against the other kids on your team because they are a good bunch of kids but if everyone filled the holes in their teams with other kids they would also beat everyone else! Just sayin!
So glad my kids are not in Lonestar because it seems their rules are tainted are slightly swayed for some people! I also don't live my dreams through my kids like some of you! Let remember they are kids! Rumor has it that some of you HJ Hawks coaches have said you want to take your kids from HJ because of the decreasing athletic department and move to Lumberton! Come and meet us! Your already using our kids anyway! ;)
I was completely joking about my son's athletic ability.  And the rest of what you said completely confused me, so no, I don't know what you mean, but that's okay. I probably don't want to know.  I'm sure all of our kids are good athletes, but I know most of the guys posting on this site & for anyone to say any of us are living through our kids is absurd. Don't get me wrong, it can be fun for us & we love spending the time with our kids, but we'd do it w/out sports if they decided to quit tomorrow. We'd all hang out together at the lake, the deer lease, or around the pools relaxing a whole lot more than we do now with a LOT LESS stress & running around!  We do tend to get riled up when you talk about kids we love & especially about one of our own kids (this mom especially!). I'm just not sure why it matters so much to anyone else where anyone else's kid plays. Especially when you keep saying "they are just kids", etc. etc. etc. This isn't the NFL (which pulls from the entire nation, btw). It's just for fun & to teach our kids a little about football. My son has played for HJ so long, he's actually grandfathered from boundaries with Lonestar anyway. He doesn't know what all is being said here, but he knows a little bit & even he said, "Mom, that's crazy. I do a good job, but Luke Morreale would be able to step up & do it if I wasn't playing for HJ." Sorry, but that made my heart proud. THAT kinda humility, sportsmanship, & team comradity is what I try to achieve with my son. Everything else is just CAKE! :)
