BH will use it for motivation I am sure. It does not change the #1 seeding for BH at all.

SetHaGoEagles! got a reaction from Pkvalt in 2022: 17-5a Volleyball Standings / Scores / Playoff Scores
Head to head would be first. Sterling owns the head to head versus Nederland. Lets say Crosby, Nederland, and Sterling all end up tied... Depending on what is in the district minutes it could go a couple of ways for tie breakers...
1. Head to head
2. 3 way tournament (play in type game)
3. coin flip for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
Once again I do not know what is the minutes for 17-5a. But I have seen all the above situations take place.

You are correct it is still early. This team has a grit to them and work extremely hard on the court. They are quietly making a name for themselves. They have a great test this weekend in Leander at Volleypalooza. 68 of the top volleyball teams in the state will be there. I am excited to see these girls compete against some of the top 6a's and 5a's in the state. A tough schedule is ahead on Thursday to open tournament versus:
6a Hebron
6a Allen
6a San Antonio O'Conner (#1 team in San Antonio at the moment)

SetHaGoEagles! reacted to THS99 in 2022: 17-5a Volleyball Standings / Scores / Playoff Scores
Just being facetious, the district is far from settled. The Eagles are really good, but they are not invincible; no one is. They need to have the intensity in district play that they showed during non-district/tournament play. With each match the pressure builds for BH and the target on them gets bigger. Continuous focus on BH can be freeing for the other programs.

Totally agree. Every set in that game was close. Could have gone either way. Also, anyone can win 1 game so anything can happen still.

Additionally there are potential pitfalls for BH within District. They are going to get everyone's best shot and need to play with purpose and self motivate if need be.

SetHaGoEagles! reacted to THS99 in V-BALL TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS-HOUSTON CHRONICLE SPORTS
What will be hurting BH the rest of the season, poll wise, is the strength of their district as a whole. No matter what BH does now, they can only go down in that poll. If they don't post dominant wins with each match then it will be viewed as a negative. Manvel and Friendswood have each other in their district, so I see at least one of them appearing in that poll just because they are playing better teams. Same can be said for the Foster/Fulshear district.

SetHaGoEagles! got a reaction from KF89 in V-BALL TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS-HOUSTON CHRONICLE SPORTS
Only 5a team ranked, but there are still some great teams in Region 3. Manvel and Friendswood will be right there fighting to go to the state tournament. But do not sleep on Foster and Fulshear. Also you have the Lake Creek's and College Station schools to deal with! Region 3 is loaded with talent. BH will have to go through some really strong programs and have to play their best game every night to try an be the first BH team to reach the state tournament at the 5a level in school history. Last time they went was in 2004 when they were a 3a.

SetHaGoEagles! reacted to KF89 in V-BALL TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS-HOUSTON CHRONICLE SPORTS
Below are the Chronicle’s weekly Houston high school volleyball power rankings. Rankings are based on overall and recent performances, quality wins, strength of schedule and team accomplishments.
1. Tompkins | Previous rank: 1
The Falcons (23-3) improved to 4-0 in District 19-6A action with a dominant 25-12, 25-18, 25-11 sweep against Katy Taylor last Tuesday. Tompkins will continue its league slate this week against Morton Ranch and Mayde Creek. The Falcons are 15-1 all-time against Morton Ranch and 16-0 against Mayde Creek.
2. Cypress Ranch | Previous: 2
Cypress Ranch (28-2) has won 12 consecutive matches and is ranked No. 11 in the nation by USA Today and the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The Mustangs began District 16-6A action with a 25-15, 25-12, 25-15 sweep against Cypress Woods on Friday. They continue this week against Cypress Springs and Cypress Park.
3. Bridgeland | Previous: 3
Bridgeland (26-6) kicked off its District 16-6A schedule Friday with a hard-fought 25-21, 25-17, 25-22 victory over a solid Langham Creek team at home. The Bears have only suffered losses against elite competition, including twice against Cypress Ranch. The team has a match against Cypress Falls on Friday before meeting the Mustangs again next week.
4. The Woodlands | Previous: 4
The Woodlands (25-8) extended their current winning streak to four matches after picking up a pair of District 13-6A victories last week. The Highlanders pulled out an impressive five-set road win over Grand Oaks to grab sole possession of first place. They easily coasted past Cleveland on Friday to improve to 5-0. Rival College Park is up next on Tuesday.
5. Conroe | Previous: 5
Conroe (34-1) bounced back nicely after suffering its first loss of the season against The Woodlands. The Tigers improved to 4-1 in District 13-6A action with sweeps against Oak Ridge and New Caney last week. Conroe has a nondistrict match against Huntsville on Tuesday before continuing its league slate with a big test against Grand Oaks on Friday at home.
6. Ridge Point | Previous: 6
Ridge Point (26-6) continued a dominant start to its District 20-6A title defense with four-set victories over George Ranch and Elkins last week. The Panthers are now 5-0 in league matches and have only dropped two sets. They will continue their journey against Clements and Fort Bend Austin this week, teams they have a combined 25-7 record against all-time.
7. Clear Springs | Previous: 7
Clear Springs (25-7) kicked off District 24-6A action with a 25-16, 25-21, 25-10 sweep against Dickinson at home Friday. The Chargers continue their league schedule with matches against Clear Falls and Brazoswood this week. Clear Springs is 4-0 in true road games this season and will try to make it 5-0 on Tuesday against the Knights.
8. Barbers Hill | Previous: 8
Barbers Hill (26-5) began District 17-5A play with a 25-18, 26-24, 25-10 road victory against Crosby on Friday, the team’s fourth consecutive win after dropping three straight in late August. The Eagles are now 23-5 against Crosby dating back to 2007. They will host Baytown Lee on Tuesday before traveling to face Port Arthur Memorial on Friday.
9. Grand Oaks | Previous: 9
As previously mentioned, Grand Oaks (24-9) lost a hard-fought match against The Woodlands last week. Despite coming up short, the Grizzlies proved once again they belong in the conversation with the Houston area’s best teams. Grand Oaks turned around and swept Oak Ridge on Friday to move to 4-1 in league play. They have New Caney and Conroe this week.
10. Columbus | Previous: NR
It’s hard to ignore what Columbus (27-3) has accomplished so far this season. The Cardinals are a 3A team, but they have also scored victories against 5A and 6A opponents this season. The team is riding a 10-match winning streak and was dominant against Rice Consolidated in its district opener. Columbus gets Hallettsville and Edna this week.
Honorable mentions: Deer Park, Dawson, Cinco Ranch, Stratford, Friendswood, Pearland, College Park, Langham Creek, Seven Lakes, Manvel, Klein Collins, Bellville, Cypress Creek.
