I agree FB.  I hate it when people start talking about 40 times.  It is usually a lie, and if not, one coach, one time, screwed up the stopwatch and that's what is reported.

But he also got the exposure of playing against real, quality opponents at he 5A level, which is undoubtedly a plus for recruiters.

A better education?  You think 1 more year at Kelly was going to make him smarter or better prepared for college?  I'll put the Brook honors teachers up against anything they have at Kelly

The best I saw up close was Mike Barber.(later an Oiler) He played quarterback for a 2A team called White Oak.  He ran all over us that day.  I think he became an all-pro tight end in the pros.

Yeah.  Those Cayuga boys could always play some basketball.  We also had La Poyner in our district.  No football team but tough in basketball.

Ozen Defense did look pretty good against WB.  The mud helped some but they fought hard.

At the risk of sounding biased, he just looks guilty to me.  whatever they charged him with, he did it ;D

Defending his kids his fine, but, I don't think that these high school athletes are coming home crying over some newspaper article.  We are not talking about 8 year olds.  if the kid screwed up, he knows it and I'm sure he feels he let his team down.  Criticism is part of the deal.  That risk is what makes it exciting.  Coach doesn't need to defend him, he just needs to make the play next time.  JMO

If I think my team is really the better team, I play for the tie.  If I feel overmatched, and think I'm lucky to be in the game, I go for two.  Based on your scenario, I think I go for two because you staed as fact that I cannot stop the other team.

This one was 13'  10  1/2".    Why wouldn't it beat the 13'  6" ??? ???

The birds are everywhere on Sabine.  Plenty of keepers from daylight until about 9:30.  They move alot but there are so many flocks it's easy to move on to the next group of birds.

You know, I really don't care if Kelly recruits or not.  I just find it annoying that so many deny it happens when it seems clear that it does, at least on some level.
