  1. This team has shown a lot of character and heart the entire season.  With all of the pieces of the puzzle back together, this team will be able to compete with any team in their way.  Congratulations, Christan, Tiffany, Stormy, Chelsea, Courtney, Brandi, Allyssa, Shaina, and coaches on your district championship, and good luck Warren lady Warriors against Franklin.

  2. Although the comment regarding the young lady mentioned was made with good intent, I can guarentee that she would never encourage the post.  First of all, she has too much respect for her fellow SE Texas softball athletes and friends, to elevate herself above them.  She recognizes that each day is an opportunity to work hard and improve her skills at the game of softball, which she loves !!!!

  3. Paul Sims of Warren, and Tyler Copeland of West Hardin get my votes. Look for Sims to light it up for 30 plus several times this season with the shooting touch he has. His teammate Matt Andrews is not too shabby either.  He has different range, but still very accurate, and like Sims, is capable of having a big scoring night.

  4. I'm not going to write about how Warren is going to be a surprise team, because this year, it really shouldn't be any surprise.  This team is going to be GOOD!!!! Yes, they are still playing in a district with Kountze and East Chambers, but don't look for them to be in awe of that.  Both Kountze and East Chambers are tough to beat at home, but both also have to come to Warren.  Any less than their best effort, and they will be picked off.  Great shooters (Sims and Andrews), and lots of speed (Nash, McBee, Swinney) to name a few.  I'm not going to say they should be pre-season favorites, but I'm also not going to say that they can't get there.

  5. Hardin did graduate some quality players, but from what I know, they will still be tough.  Personally, I feel Kountze is the team to beat.  The key to their success will be how they play on the road.  A lot of talent on that team.  Don't count out East chambers or virtually any of the others.  Competition for the 3rd playoff spot should be fierce.  I look for Warren to be improved.  New coach Sherrie Broocks has a lot of experience to offer (Winning 2 state championships in Louisiana), and she inherits a team with a lot of Senior leadership.  Summer team was extremely young, but gained valuable experience.  This district will be fun to watch.
