A belated public congrats to you Shannon. You're always a pleasure to be around and great to see your hard work pay off with what you wanted. Enjoy it and watch out for the stars....
[/quote]"THE STARS" came up in a conversation this morning at practice.  In fact, it comes up almost EVERY DAY !!!!  That was just a very eventful tourney in San Antonio.  But, to get back on the subject, CONGRATS AGAIN SHANNON !!!!
  2. Congratulations Shannon !!!!  Your committment to Blinn was preceded by years of hard work and total love of the game.  Your "All Out" playing style has made you successful in your high school and travel ball career, and I have no doubt that it will bring you even more success at Blinn.  As Trout said, we are very, very, proud of you, and on the personal level, you have always been a special kid to me, and I couldn't be prouder of you.  Good Luck at Blinn, and keep bashing the ball.
  3. Two state championships, several travel ball trips to OKC, spends anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour per practice talking about how to compete, face challenges and succeed in life as well as softball, and attends local high school games, and out of town college softball games to watch as many former players and former SETX players perform.  I sorry white/tiger, but that is EXACTLY the type of coach/person I want my kid around!!!!
  4. Congratulations Katelyn !!!!  Your hardwork, toughness, and heart will be very hard to replace when you head up to Austin Texas next fall to put on the catching gear for Concordia.  They (Concordia) have a fine coach, a great new location, first class curriculems, AND ONE VERY TALENTED AND SPECIAL YOUNG LADY COMING TO PLAY FOR THEM.  I am extremely proud of you, and happy for you and your parents !!!!  JW
  5. Congratulations Katie !!!!  All of your many hours of hard work has brought the reward that you deserve.  Have fun, compete, and study hard at TWU, and of course "Keep Chunkin" that nasty Drop Ball.  And before I forget, one of the TWU catcher signees sends her congrats also.  Great job again, we are very proud of you, and look forward to watching you pitch a whole lot of games at the college level.
  6. I will echo what Trout and several others have posted regarding the coaches, and will also tip my hat to Ronnie and Nara for the hard work that they have done at the Stars over Texas tourneys in Beaumont.  They really have bent over backwards in the organizing and accomodating process of running large tournaments, and if the coaches, recruiters, parents and young ladies will just elevate their efforts just a hair more in the coach emailing/contacting areas, I think we will realize a whole lot more successes in our goals.  Thanks again, Ronnie and Nara, and we will see you in a couple of weeks.
