1. I just heard he got an offer he couldn't refuse. Would make more sense.
2. Shooter, you must know something many others do not know. All most people saw in him was professionalism. There will have to be more proof than a statement like that for people to be ok with this, I promise you that much. Please understand that I am not taking any shot at you, I am just saying that many do not see it that way.
3. There has to be explanation and I am sure it will come. I have heard it was his choice to leave, but you know about hearing stuff. If the administration ran him out, there is gonna be some ramifications because many in Jasper liked Morgan and saw the good that was being done. By saying "he didn't know how to treat people", I am not sure who you are referring to, but I haven't heard much of that. Is it employees or kids? If it is kids, they do not like anyone who brings discipline, but that is exactly what is needed. If the admin pushed this guy out without some real good reason, they are really wrong and better be ready to answer some angry folks questions.
4. Wish I had details on this one! Close game, is Huntington better than expected?
5. It was a good game. Jasper was down a couple of senior starters in Clark and Walker. In normal circumstances, that probably would have been the pitcher in Clark and definitely would have been Walker starting at catcher. Freshman Cane Eckart started pitching and Colin Shellhammer did a good job of moving from the outfield to catch. Cane is a good young pitcher, but had a rough outing tonight as the game started with a lead off HR. He gave up three in the 1st when he gave way to senior Josh Horn. Carthage is a stout team on offense and defense. They hit the fastball very well. Jasper fought and got it to 4-2. The Jasper D was pretty strong for the most part with Clayton Hart making a couple of exceptional plays at first base and Jesse Due making key plays from third. The infield was strong. Horn pitched the rest of the game giving up 2 runs. Jasper wound up falling 5-3 in a tough fought game. I felt good about the outing considering Jasper started there #3 pitcher and didn't have their catcher who is a key piece in the heart of the line-up. Carthage is a good team with good pitching. They played well and got the win tonight. Dawgs keep your heads up and get healthy, looking good.
6. Tyler Bolton started and pitched 4 innings. Jasper played pretty good ball on defense for early season. Jacob Clark pitched 1 1/2 and Josh Horn pitched 1 1/2 and finished the game. Joe Walker caught a very good game for the Dawgs. Jasper won 10-4. Manufactured runs well and took advantage of opportunities. Had some good hits. There was definite rust on both sides. Shepherd has a decent starting pitcher that should be real good as the year progresses. Jasper has plenty to work with if they stay focused.
7.
jasper will lose big time! C.H.-70 jasper-0 You cannot bring your own refs. from the jasper chapter! :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X one done done!
You are crazy and hatin!
8. Cmon Dawgs! Wish I was there tonight. 4th and 2\ and we give a td. 14-7
9. Congrats Jasper on undefeated district run and championship! Morrisey is obviously the district MVP and Morgan is coach of the year in 18-3a.
10. Truth, really wish you would have looked at who I was referring to and read the post I was talking about before you quoted me and mislead from the truth ;D
11.

But 99, your coach shouldn't allow the players to flip off the fans. Can't believe a coach would put up with that?  It says a little for the head coach there to allow that kind of behavior.
Wow, they're kids.  They react without thinking.  Do you honestly think a coach allows kids to act like this, or is it just kids being wrong?  Don't be stupid. TRUTH, if you would read the whole durn thread I was mocking 99 for saying that about Jasper's coach, come on man. I know the coaches cant control everything which is exactly my point to the 99 guy talking and calling our kids all thugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go back and READ
12. I am needing to know if Kville is free of thugs, it is important. Thanks Must have overlooked this question earlier, I understand. How are the refs going to handle these things? Are we going to have to revert to demobilizing devices?
13. I guess when the refs start seeing all this on the field from these "thugs", they will probably have to carry tasers. Hate to see that coming.................
14. And yes that kick was Jasper's ball and if they had got the right call, the game wouldn't have been that close. Oh, and most of those SR players aren't starting!
15. Sounds like yall know em all personally. Quite honestly I would imagine there are some of what you call thugs on every team, so maybe you should give up on football. College and pro teams are full of thugs too, so better leave that alone.
16.
Its not the loosing, we took our licks from Vidor, WOS, and Vidor and I would back any one of those teams tomorrow. As for Jasper. Trashy, and thats being nice. There was bad calls on both sides of the ball and I still dont know why Jasper did not get that kick because it looked to me like it was theirs so I am not just crying over a loss. Jasper has too much talent to play like that. And by the way, all I have heard this year about Jasper is how young they are. How many seniors were on the field tonight 22, 23?? One word sums it up.... Thugs
No thugs on Kville?
17. But 99, your coach shouldn't allow the players to flip off the fans. Can't believe a coach would put up with that?  It says a little for the head coach there to allow that kind of behavior.
18. Jasper started it all, caused it all, did it all wrong, refs were blind, Kville kids are full of class, even though it looked like they were very "active", it was all dirty Jasper. They even called unsportsmanlike on Kville, but that was Jasper's taunting to. 51, 33, 78 and others from Kville are just competitors and it just got to them and they just responded, that's all. oh, and that elbow to Morrisey's HEAD as he was headed out of bounds, that was just effort.
19. I didn't say they are perfect, just asked how you heard the trash because it sounds like you were a first hand witness that heard all that was said.
20.

I saw some Kirbyville kids acting pretty bad too. Don't think you have any right to say anything like this. We have had our bad years in the past so get over the fact that you are having an off year, suck it up and grow up.
What you saw was our kids reacting to the way your thugs were playing the game.  I hope that with 24 senior thugs on your team that yall would win.  i didnt expect KV to finish the game that strong.  Just remember that with 17 seniors last year we swept, mopped, and waxed the floor with yall last year and still had enough Mr. Clean left to use it the following week.  BTW i got your suck it up right here and I am an adult thats why i can call it like i see it.  And I do do wish them to get knocked out bc any team that can act that way deserves no chance to succeed.  If you cant succeed and be classy the stay at home,  It says little for the head coach there as well to allow that kind  of behaviour
So you were out there and heard it all? What position do you play?
21. I didn't post on this game before the game on any thread and I didn't pick this game online. That said, Kville played like I expected them to against us. I think they have probably come a long way this year and adjusted to the coach and changes. It is a rivalry and you never know what to expect. Jasper was the better team tonight and Morrisey was the best back on the field. As for the trash talk about the late hits and mess, BULL. There was one called and it was questionable as it was a tackle going out of bounds. Kville hit Morrisey after the whistle once and they didn't even call it. There were some bad calls against Jasper tonight and they would have call late hits if there would have been there. Morgan does not put up with that mess and has done a good job. Congrats to both teams on a good game and to the Dawgs on the win.
22. If  Silsbee is really a top ten team, then we are pretty durn good if we cut out mistakes and get refs to call the obvious. Just sayin. Yall can say what you want and yes Silsbee played a good game and Jasper didn't tackle well, but there were some chop blocks and pass interference calls that just flat didn't get called. Congrats to Silsbee, but I just hope they are really a top ten team. Whoever plays Silsbee better watch their knees. >:(
23. Chester wins. 82-52 I think was the final score. There was a sad moment in this game. One of the players from the humble team and one of the players from the Chester team got in to a little scuffle. Nothing out of the  ordinary until the Chester boy winds up on the ground face first with one of their boys hitting him and one of their boys continually kicking him in the waist! TALK ABOUT HOT. It was quickly responded to well by the Chester coaches, however, when one of the Chester coaches pulled one of their kids off, one of the coaches pushed him for it. Really?!!!!!!! I have never been more ticked at a football game. No help from "security" either. It could have gotten way out of hand. Just because it is a small school and things go fairly smooth most of the time doesn't mean bad things can't happen. Fortunately, the boy walked off after a minute to recover and it seems no one was physically injured. It was also fortunate that this was a big kid. With some of the thinner kids on that team, this could have been very bad as the got probably five or six kicks in. Just terrible that this has to happen in high school sports. Play continued and Chester went on to win convincingly and keep their tempers. Good job guys.
