I understand. I do not think Newton will beat West Brook, but with this years team, it definitely would be close. I was just stating that WB does not have 6 players better than Newton's best. I understand that they're bigger and have great athletes, but Newton has plenty that would start for WB. I do agree with you on the local rankings being a joke. I never said that Newton should be better than than anyone just because they have a "4 star" recruit. No, i do not think Newton would beat West Brook. I was just stating the simple fact that West Brook does not have 6 players better than Newton's best. But, you do not have to down the kids that go play college ball like you just did. That was really uncalled for. For your information, the QB from 2015 started the first game against UCLA and is currently second string and just playing on special teams. He still has two more seasons after this, so his time will come. Newton actually called PNG and PAM to play next year and they declined, but WOS and Carthage will be on the schedule. At least Newton tries to play top tier teams.

He is a 4 star defensive back / receiver that received an offer from Oklahoma State before his junior year even started this year. Oh, he also has 9 interceptions this season which is probably leading the state in all classifications if i had to guess. Now, i will sit here and wait for you to list 6 players that are better. I'm definitely rooting for Bridge City, but you just stated a bold statement. I think Bridge City can possibly pull this game off, but i do think it would definitely end that following week. They are a good team, but not near a state championship team. You have to face reality at some point.

Well, Newton did score 43 of those points on Corrigan-Camden in the first half and did not score again. They didn't want to score again out of respect. It would have been 100-0 if that were the case. None of this matters though. Woodville has done great things and i am excited to see what they're doing. But, the point margin does not matter when you take into consideration of Newton pulling their dogs off before blowing teams out. I'm sure Woodville did that as well too. Don't knock Newton just because your Wildcats aren't playing up to your expectations. I root for you guys as well, but score a touchdown on Newton next season and come talk.

I'm really happy to see Woodville playing this kind of ball. I have been rooting for them all season and i hope to see them upset a lot of teams in the playoffs. But, Newton shouldn't be in this conversation. Newton would win this game convincingly being that they're really, really good this year. Good luck, Woodville. Coach Barbay has been one heck of a coach for Newton this year. He has opened up the playbook and is using multiple athletes on offense. Newton is used to only using two or three guys and just pounding the ball, but this is not the case this year. His son will hold all single season passing records for Newton after this year and a huge amount of Newton's success has been from him. He's a Barbay and is still old school, therefore he fits perfectly for Newton's program. I do think Coldsprings would be having more success with him.

Henderson, which is much larger than Newton, had a very hard time against Newton last year and finally opened it up in the second half. It was like 10-7 at half or something like that. Newton had 6 turnovers that game, but that is apart of the game. They did not dominate that game by no means. Also, Newton was down a lot last year playing with freshman on varsity and that never happens. WOS would literally make a good Henderson team look like a bad team. It wouldn't even be close. Also, i think Newton would beat you guys this year. Come back on here after Newton and WOS both run through the playoffs and contend for the title.

One on one between a receiver with power five offers and two sophomore cornerbacks... Hey, it happens sometimes. Newton plays man to man with no help. So, i'd say the two young guys held their own against that kid.

I was naming secondary position players. There are 4 more guys that have went D1 in the past four years that i didn't name on that list.

Secondary D1 players 2012 - Brent Spikes McNeese 2013 - DJ Dean Arkansas 2014 - Kevin Shorter Texas 2015 - Calum Foster McNeese & Roney Elam A&M 2016 - Gabe Foster McNeese 2019 Class - T. Brown (CB) & Josh Foster (FS) will choosing what D1 school they want to play at come their senior year. I don't think they have been hurting too bad in that area. But, it is correct that Newton should have way more titles than they have.

He may live in Lufkin, but for some reason Crazeddeer really likes Crockett in a big way because he sure is butt hurt. He hasn't given any credit that Newton may be pretty darn good! He hasn't given any credit that Newton has some really good players! You know, Crockett isn't the only good team in the state! Heck, be happy about being the second best team instead of whining the whole time. Also, you stated that Newton fans won't be comfortable about meeting that team again?? Lol. This is true. Newton's Gabe Foster that was the top DB in the class of 3A was out and he was also i big time RB for Newton. Newton was very down and was not as good of a team as in the past. Everyone knows that except crockett lol. But, this years team is loaded at all positions and way better than last years team. Stopping the passing game won't be an issue by any means.

You're wrong in so many ways here. Last year was one of the not so good teams Newton has had. Gabe Foster that had 9 division1 offers didn't play against Crockett and newtons run game was the worst i've seen in my years. Oh, Newton also had 8 fumbles that game, but that is apart of the game. So, if you were going to beat Newton, then it would have been last year. Newton is loaded this year and will have a little something extra for the Bulldogs with big time players coming back that hasn't played all year. I think Crockett is talented and better than last season, but Newton was not good at all last year being that so many players were out the second half of the season and still came out with an ugly win. Newton takes this by three scores easily.

Crockett will not be as good as Silsbee in any aspects of the game and they run somewhat of the same offense. At least i think they do; Correct me if i'm wrong? That is not a knock to Crockett at all. I respect them and hope they do great this season and represent the district. Crockett has very good athletes, but Silsbee's athletes are on a different level. All of their offers speak for itself. All being said, that just goes to show how good this Newton team is this year. Everything is clicking even without some key players. Newton will beat them by 3 scores!

Silsbee isn't my team and i could care less about that district. My team has already beat the top two teams in this district this season. I am sure you can guess who that is. lol. I just think Silsbee will go on a long winning streak after this coming game Friday and roll through district.

I believe Silsbee will do better than what most people think. Now, i do believe WOS will have a convincing win, but Silsbee should be the first to see the endzone against their defense. I root for both teams and hope nothing but success for you guys. Silsbee will be 1-3 after this game and then go on a six-eight game winning streak.
