Just to throw this out there, Tucker Muckleroy threw a no hitter to help Buna clinch the District Title and k'd 10 more batters to run his total to 83 in 50 1/3 innings

Buna at East Chambers has been cancelled.  No make-up date scheduled yet.

Kountze has a great squad that battles to the bitter end.  These young guys are getting better every time they play!  Kudos to the young pitcher from Kountze (Lognion).  He pitched a good game both times we played them.  Kountze and Buna should have several years of great games coming up in the future.  Buna is also very young starting 1 freshman, 4 sophomores, and 2 juniors. 

Muckleroy started and got the win.  He went 4 2/3 innings and gave up 6 hits.  

K'd 8, walked 4, hit 1, 5 earned runs allowed!

Brandon Hillin came in and went 2 1/3, 0 runs scored, k'd 7, and walked 1 for the save!

Buna is 12-2 Overall (6-0)District.

Tucker Muckleroy k's 16 in a complete game victory.  Kolton Brewster had a triple, single, and a walk and Brandon Hillin had a in the park homerun.  The Anahuac pitcher(Ritter) did a fine job(5 k's) and the Panther defense played very well.  It was a very well played game by both teams.  Good luck to Anahuac and my Cougars the rest of the way!

Last enrollment figures had Buna just under 400.  We are losing kids daily.  No clue of where they are going, but we have lost around 150 kids in the last 6 years.

Drew Flanigan of Buna was 5-7 for the week with 2 doubles, 7 rbi's, a walk and 5 runs scored.

Muckleroy threw for Buna giving up 7 hits, striking out 7 and walking 2.  He gave up 3 earned runs in the game.

Lott started and I am not sure who threw the last 3.  Right hander throwing gas and hat a great bender.

Great pitching performance by the 2 guys from Ozen.  Coach Thomas and Hall are class acts and it was fun to play against such a good team.  Good luck Panthers the rest of the way!
