    I’ve been trying to tell y’all for years that family trees in Daisetta don’t branch out; they grow straight up. It’s somewhat reminiscent of certain scenes from the movie Deliverance. This results in teams that are devoid of strength, speed, and overall talent.

When only 4% of the enrollment is black, and you’re dealing with almost half of the kids being economically disadvantaged, then you’re not winning in East Texas. Period. You HAVE to have black kids to win in East Texas. There’s no way around it. Name me one all/predominantly white school in East Texas that has won historically?
