French was actually losing to SA Madison in the

semis 12-7 with under 5 minutes to go in the game

at Kyle Field and they were also down 21-7 to

Permian in the finals at Texas Stadium and came

back to tie.

I know that their regular season record was 6-4 and they were

runner up to West Brook.

Can't help with the regular season scores but here are the playoff scores

I have heard rumors about Fitzhenry's age as well,

don't know for sure but have also heard that his

dad (HC at Giddings) applied for jobs at Sealy

and Tomball but was turned down potentially because

of his sons age.

Anticipating a WOS-Giddings final. Rumor from Giddings

is that QB Fitzhenry is being moved to WR and

RB Dock will be the new QB as Fitzhenry is coming

off knee surgery in the off season.

Yes I remember Coach Hooks mentioning that a few years ago,

I believe they were still 4A at the time.

I know Shelbyville isn't exactly SE Texas but would

have to include Jeff Chumbley. He led the Dragons to

a 32-1 season and state title in 82 (as a sophomore) and a 33-0

season and state title in 84 and was named all-tournament

both years. And only a 3 point loss to Gladewater Sabine's

final four team deep in the 83 playoffs kept them from a

possible three-peat.

According to the Beaumont ISD website as of 6-1-07, in

week 1 the West Brook-Central game is Friday

and the Ozen-Memorial game is Saturday.

How about the Newton-Cameron playoff game

in Katy in 81, 28-28 tie, penetrations tied and

Cameron ended up advancing on first downs 18-13.
