All speculation. Maybe he instinctively tried to play like it didn't hit him after it did.

Since we're STILL talking about it, if one bad call is going to effect the momentum of your team for the ENTIRE rest of the game, you don't have a good team. Case and point, the officiating was just as bad in the PNG vs. WOS game. We were down 27-13 at half. You already know what the outcome was. Good teams find a way to recover. I would like to believe that the only people holding on to this call are the fans. Because if it's the coaches and players, you won't fare too well in the playoffs.

I was at the game, had a better view of it than you did (because it was on our side of the field and it was right in front of us) and it looked like it hit him to everyone around us because everyone reacted when it hit him. The ref was right on top of it as well. You stating he was no where near it makes me wonder if you were really there or not. He was the CLOSEST official to the play. And for that matter, how do you know what the ref said??? They stood around and discussed it amongst themselves so you are either regurgitating hearsay, or you are one of the officials. Another thing, DT did not simply touch it and leave the field. He scooped it up and kept looking at one of the officials waiting for a reaction from him BECAUSE HE THOUGHT #1 TOUCHED IT. And lastly... AGAIN... this did not change anything. With the play, right or wrong, you got beat. You got beat at the LOS. Without the play, you get beat at the LOS. As said before, the best thing that could have happened for HJ was those refs. Had they not kept the clamps on the Mustangs the Hawks would've been run out of the stadium. Period.

And how many penalties were called on the Mustangs. One play doesn't change the outcome of a game. If HJ were as good as you all say they are they should've been able overcome that one call. Smh.

Honestly...... I have no clue..... I hope HJ brings down the thunder..... From what I understand, we have made some defensive changes for this week, but I don't know if it will be enough... I was hoping we would put a couple more guys on the d-line and try to pressure ol Jack into mistakes... I hope that's the road we take but I'm not the coach.... This is why..... Defensively, I would not be satisfied with only bringing 11.... I would try to figure out a way to bring 12 lol.... I feel like HJ, at times, has dominated each opponent. Seems like we step up to our competition. If we come in with the heart and determination we hadĀ against Silsbee last year, WOS is in for a long night... If we come out like we did against HF, will be a long night for the Hawks and a long year for me.... I say, good luck to both teams, hopefully an injury free game, and no excuses on Saturday..... See you guys tomorrow!

Your right. WOS qb will not need that long to pick apart HJ.

Just looking at final scores and level of competition I would think that playing La Marque instead of La Grange in the third round would be an advantage.
Kashmere made a game of it against La Marque last night.

    Come on Halloween!!

"Rely" on the long ball??? LOL... We ran, threw and did whatever we wanted last night. Probably, the reason they got beat deep a few times is because they tried to play two of the best receivers in the area man up in an attempt to stop the run... and they failed at both. That game was never in doubt from the start. The only reason it got within 12 points was because we put the back ups in a little to early, but that was quickly rectified. I know, from a future opponent stand point you are looking for a "ray of hope", or a weakness, but this is a stretch.

All starters will be playing. 2nd string will play late if the score allows them. The Mustangs have zero concern for the Hawks. One game at a time. They have overlooked their opponent once this year already and you can bet it won't happen again
