A good coach is as valuable as talent on the field. The reason people are mad is because the best coach for the job was passed over, and the new one came in and changed everything that has made this program the winningest percentage in the state. There is a lot more to how this happened, that really upset people. You apparently are not from Orange, don't know the whole story and it is too long and involved to tell you. But, if you are a fair man, you would be mad.

Have you looked at the education ratings at WOS? We got a B rating but scored less than 50% in each category. I don't know how they came up with a B.

Correct. The school board needs to go hat in hand to Cornel Thompson, and beg him to come back until they can entice Toby Foreman to come back.

We don't have a coach.

It is not a fan problem, it is a coaching problem. WOS gave up 48 pts tonight, and the first district loss since 2009. I think I saw the 5-0 defense on 2 plays. The Silsbee yardage was astronomical. I support the team, and they deserve a coach that knows how to coach.

I just figured out how to expand the screen. It looked like WOS was running the 5-0 defence, but the picture was so small, it was hard to count. When Miller made that first long reception, there was only 4 on the line, and has ever since.

Thank you very much for your well wishes for my daughter. She needs lots of prayers. After graduating from WOS, I'm her last semester attaining her BSN, she fell victim to an extremely rare lung disease and had to drop out of school, and a year later underwent a double lung transplant. After years of taking the anti-rejection meds, she fell victim to lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemo. It appears it is going to be successful, but the side effects of chemo are horrible. Thanks.

He expressed the importance and hard work that was put in for the district to get the B rating and how athletics is going to help push us toward the A. He talked about football, but his message centered around developing the whole child. If I am not working or busy with my daughters health care, I intend to. Be at the WOCCISD Board meeting Sept 30, to voice my discontent at how our School District did not attain top level scholastic ratings, and the train wreck of the WOS football program, both are the responsibility of Ricky Harris. I encourage all of you concerned, to be there too. I have written a letter and emailed it to all the board members. If any of you would like to see it, pm me.

I got it wrong then. I thought Hickman had gone back to Silsbee a couple years ago. Sorry about that. I look for Silsbee to get the win, and WOS will struggle against Lumberton and H-F. The others are wins. I don't see them going more than 2 deepin the playoffs IF they get into post season play.

The deal is, he came into a program that had been going for almost 40 years and compiled the winningest record in Texas, and changed it, and is giving up more points than ever. Why would anyone change a program that has been so successful?

Yep. WOS had the highest winning percentage in the state using the same system every year. Why would these guys come in here and screw it up?

I agree. Nothing was wrong with just posting the score. This is what happens when people try to micro-manage things. It gets messed up.
