Bad sportsmanship for the sake of bad sportsmanship is never right. I have no problem with the win as I stated just the bad sportsmanship. To suggest that WH should have let HI win is ludicrous and not even suggested.
I know that WH has many fine boys and that sometimes we can judge on the actions of what may be a very few, and for that I apologize.

I don't see a need for you to apologize. The bad sportsmanship was AFTER the game. You never said anything close to saying that WH should have let HI win "when a kid dies" (EVEN if the kid graduated last year). The HI boys WERE emotionally exhausted, yet the errors cost them the game. Today, after burying their very close friend (just because a kid is not in high school anymore does not mean a friendship ends), they went to Sabine Pass & certainly didn't expect SP to let them win either.

I haven't commented on any thread in a long time, but the complete disregard for the loss of a life shown by the other poster really hit home. The entire community was affected, but NO ONE thought - especially NOT the HI boys - that WH should have just laid down.

I have received word from Coach Charrier that the venue of the High Island-Milano game has been changed to Traylor Stadium in Rosenberg.

ECBucFan, I guess you called it!  It is not in my back yard, but it certainly is in the neighborhood!

Hopefully this won't change again!! This is awesome for me, Grad, since I'm in Brookshire!! Guess we are neighbors!

  5. HI Mom,

You made me cry VERY early this morning! :) It's awesome to see the other teams "wishing" his season hadn't ended so early. Of course, no one "wishes" that as much as we do!! That highlight reel would be quite a bit longer if it hadn't.  ;) Leli's great on either side of the ball and I can't wait to see him play college ball when that knee is all better.

eaba26, you are correct sir...Hunter Blake is also another great one on both sides. Of course, I might be a little biased...nah, Hunter's darn good.  :o
