Best of luck to a good man !

 We lost  to State Champion  Rockdale in 2017, in 2016 we lost to State Runner up Cameron Yoe. This year is to be determined. I wish you negative people would have stepped in and would have been so passionate under the last 3 head coaches ! I bet we have won more games in 3 years than all those Coaches combined ! Not to mention that our numbers are up in all boys Athletic  programs and I believe we have only lost a few games on under levels in the last 3 years. 

Franklin runs the same offense we run with some Wing T mixed in . Woodville has been a place that has never been very good at anything consistently year in and year out . They have had flash in the pan seasons with various Teams in both boys and girls Teams. One State Championship in Basball . Maybe, the community does not know how to expect Winning and not tolerate anything less. That put expectations  on the kids and not blame on the Coaches. Coach Rob and staff took us out of the gutter and Winning is a expectation . Before now 4th place and Tshirt was welcomed ! Get behind the Kids and Coaches !

Our preseason was tougher than Jasper's and we have half the enrollment !  You need to review the Schedules of both Team's .  We play up in classification in preseason . How games did Jasper play up in classification in preseason ?

Just look east across the boarder and get games ! People do it all the time ! It is also closer !

What people don't understand is Woodville's opponents only have 4 days to prepare to defend Woodville's offense . This power type offense puts people in a bind by having them play a goal line defense the entire game or run a new defense . The offense also wears down the oppents defense with long drives. Which in turn ,they wear oppent's down in the second half and they pull away .If Woodville does not turn the ball over and eliminates plenalties that keeps them out of third and long, the Eagles will Soar 34-13 . Go Eagles !

It's hard to compare to other States  with Texas. Other's states have no rule's, such as UIL governing them . Private Schools who recruit and give Scholarship's so kids can attend their School but they play public Schools. Just one other reason TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL IS KING !!!   GO MUSTANGS !!!! 3 PEET !!

Two  small Schools come to mind that have had predominant running offense's, that have won big without throwing the ball .Newton, Corrigan, Newton may throw it now but Coach Barbay only did it sparingly to hit a home run. Anybody and everybody know when he needed a play , no matter the down or distance he ran SCAT. Corrigan the same way they will run their inside power play and then run their sweep to the sideline. By the way WOS wins with DEFENSE !!! Ask Coach T ! 

Our best defense is our offense going on 15-20 drives. We take out a bunch of kids on defense and offense , which allows Kountze to score. Kountze is a good team . We are trying to get a lot of kids experience which make us better down the road. It also allows our back to rest and makes them better in December . ... Great Coaching !!!!! For the first time ever we have a Football Coach who expect to Win and prepares to win a State Championship . It's on the Football Schedule from day one . In the past we were satisfied with a playoff game and a a T-shirt .We don't always reach our goals in life but If you don't set them high you will never reach them .Back to my original point ,leave all offensive starter's and run the score up when it was 35-6  and your a jerk . Take the starter's out and they get some score's on you and it hurt's your ranking ! Rankings don't win championship's ! Good player's and good coaching Win Championships ! In year's past we were not in the conversation as TOP 10 .Who cares what some old washed up men who live vicariously through others think ! Time will only tell and it will work it's all out ! GO ASTROS !! 

Our kid's lift 4 days a week during all season's . Sure has made a difference in our kids strength and conditioning.       Ask, Buna they played with us for a half and we wore them out and scored at will with back ups in the game. If kids don't have a choice and nobody to complain to they will fall in line ! It's amazing what leadership can do for a program .

Anyone can go to IMG if you have the money !  82,500 a year pluse sports fee ,per sport ! Look it up ..... Somebody has to fund the kids who get financial aid . They have two Teams at IMG.  So how much talent do you need ? 

Don't kid yourself , Crockett would do the same . Head coach would be the first to tell you it's his job to stop the opponent not the opponents job to stop themselves. Would you rather him punt on first down ?

Corrigan is finding out what is like to play with avg athletes like the rest of the world.

Don't you believe that the coaching staff is doing what they think is in best interest for team , Since their job's depend on it. Unless there is a motive behind it ....Who the kids parents are $$$ School board members kid, Supts kid , LOL

Woodville by 35, Trinity is notorious for falling apart when things go wrong .

We have taken many of beat downs from them through the year's . I believe they will be on our Schedule next year !

It's called job security ...... Nobody cares who you play it's about the bottom line winning !. We will travel and cost the 

district thousands in a day and age where money is tight,to get a win !!!!

Newton by 40.... Crockett appears to be down . Even though they have a super Coach in Coach Thompson .

Coach T was around when this offense was popular in 60's and  70's . The 50 defense Coach T runs was invented to stop the Wing-T , Veer and the Wishbone . Everyone knows WOS prides themselves on defense ! 37 -13 WOS

This is not going to be fun at all.  So many people in  these communities are related to each other. Cousin's playing against each other and Families have to sit on different side .  I feel bad for the warrior's those kids deserve to be competitive . Woodville pulls starters after first quarter. 58-0 Eagles Soar !!!
